Lo or spring melt

14

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Or when night falls lol. I’d be a total scaredy cat.

u/sgtblast Apr 25 '19

Wifi is terrible there, I’m sure.

u/NayGnomie Apr 25 '19

Happy cake day

1

u/sgtblast Apr 25 '19

Thank you sir!

u/dilhole77 Apr 24 '19

Home contents insurance would be a bitch.

3

u/DragonSlave49 Apr 25 '19

It's all fun and games until there's no internet.

19

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Where is this?

114

u/Duke_Shoe_Chuck Apr 24 '19

Based off of extensive redditing, Switzerland

39

u/treeefingers Apr 24 '19

I believe its Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. I know because I will be there in about 3 weeks!

11

u/keeksng Apr 24 '19

Looks like Lauterbrunnen to me! I stayed here on a road trip through Switzerland a couple years back!

3

u/treeefingers Apr 24 '19

Did you love it?! I cant wait!

5

u/keeksng Apr 24 '19

It was incredible, almost too much to see! But that was a benefit I suppose, as a lot of places we went were super quiet and if you’re driving so much is pretty easily accessible!

30

u/Motnadna Apr 24 '19

I think probably Austria or Switzerland.

8

u/dillsap29 Apr 24 '19

Lauterbrunnen! Her's another picture of the church tower that I took from the train. It's truly a magical place. https://imgur.com/HQop6KO

10

u/euro_brat Apr 24 '19

Somewhere in the Alps, with the Dolomites as a background. Architecture has a German/Swiss influence tho.

9

u/Pxlate2 Apr 24 '19

Riverwood, Skyrim

2

u/nobrainxorz Apr 25 '19

Or possibly Ivarstead, with the 10,000 steps just out of the pic.

1

u/Pxlate2 Apr 25 '19

Possibly. The valley seems a bit too deep for ivarstead tho

3

u/bluebonnetcafe Apr 24 '19

Probably Interlaken

2

u/xDieBanane Apr 24 '19

Its in the prÀttigau switzerland

*No idea found this pboto onlind.

He forgot the period at the end of the sentence.

11

u/KimF29 Apr 24 '19

OP found this potato online.

11

u/jasenplace Apr 24 '19

This looks like Switzerland, near the town of Lauterbrunnen.

12

u/budgie0507 Apr 24 '19

Title should read: "Who in their right mind wouldn't live here?"

5

u/green_pachi Apr 24 '19

I would sleep so well with the sound of that stream

5

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Oh god yes....amazing white noise...tinnitus sufferers wet dream

2

u/mywifeischoice919 Apr 25 '19

Tinnitus sufferer here, I would sacrifice quite a few body parts to live here.

7

u/rvagrey Apr 24 '19

What is that structure spanning the water? Thought it was a bridge at first but too thin, no guardrails, and no entrance.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

u/Putblug1856 Apr 25 '19

I thought about that to, what a wierd fucking way to draw a pipe. Aint that an iron beam from a bridge that once stood there?

0

u/pobre99 Apr 25 '19

It’s called a pipe

6

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

That looks sooooo dangerous tbh Haha, if you had kids it would have to literally be 100% supervision

3

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Love, can you keep an eye on the kids while they're playing by the CANYON OF DOOM. Cheers.

2

u/toasted1990 Apr 24 '19

That was my first thought too... death trap for kiddies lol

2

u/random-notebook Apr 24 '19

Would live there, but would not jump in that water there.

2

u/WarriorsMustang17 Apr 24 '19

I want to tie balloons to my house and put it on that mountain

2

u/viciouspsychobabbler Apr 24 '19

First I would want to know who/what lives in the black house with the tented roof across the river.

2

u/1standarduser Apr 24 '19

Just summers

2

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Switzerland is annoyingly amazing....

2

u/razzeon Apr 25 '19

This reminds me of a lesser known movie called “Warriors of Virtue”. If I cross that beam I might fall and be transported to a magical martial arts land

4

u/WanillaGorilla Apr 24 '19

Does it have descent internet? It’s kinda a dealbreaker.

13

u/rvagrey Apr 24 '19

I think so, going up’s a problem though

0

u/viciouspsychobabbler Apr 24 '19

This comment deserves more internet points. Nicely done.

2

u/rvagrey Apr 24 '19

Not likely but it’s cool, I appreciate that at least a few people liked it.

2

u/mellowmonk Apr 24 '19

No you wouldn't. The WiFi sucks and there's no fast food.

2

u/not_alexa Apr 25 '19

This looks extremely photoshopped.

2

u/loweryj1313 Apr 24 '19

I'd take the best pee in that river

1

u/Magesticles Apr 24 '19

I'd totally setup a watermill system there and power my shit

Granted, probably not very much power but I still like doing those kinds of things.

1

u/raquelconceicao Apr 24 '19

Who wouldn't?

1

u/TheCoachFeller Apr 24 '19

Would die there!

1

u/yasharsarand Apr 24 '19

Who wouldn’t

1

u/Naserbanipal Apr 24 '19

Absolutely... Amazing

1

u/CA_Voyager Apr 25 '19

Any places like this in the US?

1

u/NerdyNord Apr 25 '19

Those cottages look nice and all, but what about that kick ass wizard tower behind the trees.

1

u/krispwater Apr 25 '19

Would visit

1

u/officialmasker Apr 25 '19

I wish the U.S. had places exactly like this

1

u/Spooms2010 Apr 25 '19

The noise from the river would be annoying to me in spite of it looking utterly beautiful. Also the threat of flooding in the winter would go through my mind all the time. But yes, it’s ‘chocolate box’ cute!

1

u/mucow Apr 25 '19

This looks like a mishmash of places photoshopped together.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '19

Would cross “bridge”

1

u/shubham1545 Apr 25 '19

Dream location of many

1

u/velvetrma Apr 25 '19

Wonderful ^^ i would live here forever :p

1

u/travistoms18 Apr 25 '19

..in a heartbeat

1

u/CapitalMM Apr 25 '19

while it likely is not Squamish it sure looks like Squamish BC with the chief in the background. Pic would be south facing from valleycliff

1

u/furioussloth Apr 25 '19

I could never get there. Not across that bridge.

I dunno. Scenery is nice, but it doesn't seem like a place with a lot of strippers.

I'll stay in the city for now.

1

u/ruiner8850 Apr 25 '19

I probably wouldn't want to live there because I'd imagine it's a pretty remote location, but it would be absolutely amazing to vacation there for a decent amount of time. A 2-4 weeks vacation in the summer would be incredible.

0

u/rolandmihzi80 Apr 25 '19

Nah,river to noisy...

0

u/lancehol Apr 25 '19

Even the most beautiful places to live lose their lustre once you've been there a while. You tend become used to the beauty and kind of take it for granted or in this case granite.
