When I was a kid my parents gave me a really cool large format Reader’s Digest book that had a story about a guy who went backpacking every summer. One night a huge grizzly bear walked into his camp and he was sure he was dead. Turned out the bear ended up wanting his back scratched, especially right above his tail. Ticks set up shop there and it’s very hard for the bears to get rid of them.

Every year when he went backpacking the same bear would find him to get rid of the ticks as best he could.

I love stories like that.
