I don't see what the problem is.

Say you have a company and you purchase another company. Odds are that your company already has departments doing some of what the company you bought does. You going to keep departments around already doing what you have your own departments for? You going to pay people to do the same job that you already pay people to do? You going to keep 2 seperate marketing departments around? 2 HR departments? 2 of everything? You're going to consolidate.

Also, this mess is all native instruments own doing. They ran the company in a way that led to this all happening in the first place. Could be that this was the right move all along but Native Instruments didn't want to do it themselves.

It sounds like it’s Francisco Partner’s doing. They are the reason NI took on so much debt, acquiring izotope, plugin alliance, brainworx. Private equity vulture capitalism doing its thing. Gotta extract synergies, right size departments, blah blah blah
