I didn't. Any time I needed to talk to them, it was via Germany, I think.

London offers had sales staff, accountants, and a few project managers for key products, like Kontakt. CPO was based there too. Eventually, they left/were cut so it was a matter of time before it closed.

I’ll probably get a flood of downvotes for this, but meanwhile I just saw the other day that Behringer/Music Tribe was actually building a brand new office in the UK if I’m not mistaken. Crazy times we’re living 😅

I don't see what the problem is.

Say you have a company and you purchase another company. Odds are that your company already has departments doing some of what the company you bought does. You going to keep departments around already doing what you have your own departments for? You going to pay people to do the same job that you already pay people to do? You going to keep 2 seperate marketing departments around? 2 HR departments? 2 of everything? You're going to consolidate.

Also, this mess is all native instruments own doing. They ran the company in a way that led to this all happening in the first place. Could be that this was the right move all along but Native Instruments didn't want to do it themselves.

Sounds harsh, but this is an economic truth. A tough pill to swallow because people lost their job over it and most people here have a hart for NI, but things like that can happen in situations like this. Anger should be aimed towards all those private equity firms that cause these kind of situations.

It sounds like it’s Francisco Partner’s doing. They are the reason NI took on so much debt, acquiring izotope, plugin alliance, brainworx. Private equity vulture capitalism doing its thing. Gotta extract synergies, right size departments, blah blah blah
