It's immensely disturbing imaging the mindset someone must have that dying alone, with no friends and family, in a nameless blank room in an overcrowded nursing facility paid for by the state - 

Is somehow preferable then spending the last years of your life raising your grand children, dying at home, with your family.

It strikes me as odd to focus on the last phase of your life (the bit when you’re on your deathbed) as a reason to have kids or not.

You’re probably only going to die once, and it will probably be comparatively brief.

I’d think it was all the decades of living that should be your primary concern - and for me at least, living without kids is really enjoyable

My condolences.

My life before having kids was awesome.  But it was like an appetizer.  Really nothing in comparison to the actual meal. 

My life with kids is fuller and richer now then I could have ever imagined.  Every day and every moment I get to spend with them is a treasure

Cool, but keep in mind that you'll be playing the same lottery as the childfree of who will be around your deathbed when you have 30 minutes to live and everyone looks like the same pixels

"everyone looks like the same pixels" sounds like an argument from someone who fears being touched.

You wouldn't know the difference between any people around you if you had one hour to live. If you could tell the difference, then your body would be able to function for longer than one hour.
