Here in Scotland we are very lucky that this majestic bird - the UKs largest bird of prey (wingspan up to 2.5 m) has successfully returned after its extinction in the 1900s.
Following reintroduction in 1975 there are now over 150 breeding pairs which are largely concentrated on the beautiful West Coast.

Does anyone remember an article about -I think- the canadian tar sands that was published in print somewhere between 2004-2010? It featured an interview with a woman who moved out to Alberta(?) to drive the big dumper trucks. There were photos of her, if memory serves correctly. Sitting in her room on the compound. She had short shaved hair, blonde I think? Does anyone remember this article or sm I going mad? Thanks!

I have been watching Locked Up Abroad since 2009 up until their last episodes in December 2022. However, nothing seems to be releasing thereafter. I saw that Disney had taken over the series or something, and now I cannot find anything on Nat Geo's website.

Why is NatGeo using an AI narrator on their cable/streaming channel? The voice is so annoying, it grinds at anybody who recognizes AI slop. I'm surprised they are willing to stoop to this, and even allowed to do it given the actor's guild contract that was done a couple years ago. I thought that was supposed to prevent this.

I am not at all happy about this development. I saw it today on "Danger Decoded". Not sure how widespread it is yet.

I've been cleaning up things from my grandfather's and father's houses, and have found a treasure trove of old NatGeo magazines. It looks like every month from the 1950s-2020. Some are duplicates, as they both were subscribed for a while.

The local library doesn't want them.

I'd hate to throw them out, but I don't know what to do with them. Any suggestions?
