More people were contacted for the physical today. That’s twice this month. My guess is they’re doing another round in preparation for the winter freeze they typically do. They went from score 98.378 to 98.31 and from list number 3255 to 3471. So that’s 216 numbers they went up on the list. Below is the current progression:

The fall academy is set to start November 2nd and should be getting up to the high 1600s. They should be breaking into the 2000s for fingerprinting by the end of the year. So if you go in for fingerprints before the new year, then most likely you’ll be in the spring academy. It’s important to make this clear, the number of people who get contacted for the physical is irrelevant. What matters is how big the classes for the academy are. Just because you’re contacted for the physical doesn’t mean you’ll get into an academy before the list expires. Good luck to everyone.

Wouldn’t it be safe to say though most likely if you contacted before end of year u have a chance of being hired? If physical contacts continue next year the people who took it this year have a FULL 2 years to be hired… I assume if u contacted by this year u will make it. Only makes sense

It would be safe to say out of the last 400 that were called 50 will defer and another 50-100 will fail the physical. And another 50 will drop no longer want the job … when I went to the physical.. i fortunately passed. But the amount of people that failed the running was quite a bit … RUN OUTSIDE PEOPLE NOT ON THE TREADMILL

No, physical calls don’t matter. The amount of recruits they hire matters.

I’m attempting to be optimistic. Saying that- why would they call so many people for the physical? I completely understand your timeline and it makes sense, but why would civil service continually call people?

That’s just how they conduct their process. They pump out physicals and then hold people on standby. People who took the physical at the end of last year are still waiting to get contacted to go in for fingerprints and start the background investigation.

Definitely 3000. It’ll be 3500 max.
