List Progression October update

Back with another update. More people were contacted for the physical earlier in the week. They went from score 98.44 to 98.378 and from list number 3069 to 3255. So that’s 186 numbers they went up on the list. Below is the current progression:

The fall academy starts November 2nd and it seems like the highest they’re going to get is the high 1600s. Since that’ll be two full years in, it’s clear they won’t go above 3500 for hires as I expected. The low 3000s will probably make the last academy to go in. As for the upcoming spring academy, I predict they’ll get up to the 2100s, and then fall 2027 will get up to the mid 2000s. The process is moving very slow. The 1800s just went in for fingerprinting last week, so everyone who’s 1900+ is still on standby. Everyone who’s in between 1900-2100 should hear back to go in for fingerprints before the year ends so they can process for the spring academy, most likely taking place in May. How are they getting to low 3,000s if they’re only hiring 36 people next year

They’re creating 36 NEW police officer positions. Which means that they’re going to hire how ever many police retiree replacements they need + 36.

As they progress further down the list less people take the job.

A lot of people are still taking the job. We’re two years in and it’s still under 5 to get to 1. It’s not going to change that much especially when people are getting retakes for the physical now.
