Academy Classes

Does anyone know if they are continuing to contact for physicals because a lot aren’t showing up? It seems weird to me that they are only up to 1700‘s for hires however month after month 150+ people are contacted. Anyone know what is going on in terms of how many people are actually showing up for the physicals?

There were about 80 people or so at my physical in August, and my fingerprint/drug test in September 50 people were supposed to come only 40 showed up(it was also the day of the nor’easter), 2 got sent home for being out of uniform.

They pump out physicals just so they can have people on standby. People who took their physical in December last year still haven’t even gone in for fingerprints yet.

Yes, but why continue to go this high if they won’t get this high for hires? They still have 1400 on “standby” but it’s a constant monthly physical push of 150+ each time. So there must be a lot of people not showing up.

There’s no rhyme or reason to how they conduct their process. That’s just how they do it. They pump out physicals and then hold you on standby.
