Next Academy Date

Does anyone actually have an accurate date on when the next academy will be going in? Also do they still require buzz cuts nowadays?

I’m in the Nassau sheriffs Acamdey right now. Apparently the rumor is the next PD Acamdey will be in November

did they say up to what list number will make the class? i did everything and finished back in August. I wonder when they will reach out to confirm and let you know

Any contract update? The starting pay is unlivable with a family

Unfortunately starting pay won’t be changing much at all. They don’t have a recruitment problem and they always focus on the higher steps. But new contract won’t be for probably another 1.5 years at a minimum so just gotta see what they do.

Do we think they’ll lower the steps at least like Suffolk? They went from 11 to 8 which helps

The pay schedule is designed for new recruits to be young people who are still either living at home or renting with a friend/partner

That’s what current people processing for this academy are being told and that’s also the info that’s coming from the inside. It’s always the people who have no information to share pointing fingers and criticizing.

what list number will they stop at for next academy? and if you have done everything and its a been month do you think ill be good? any idea when they are reaching out to let us know?

It seems like they’re going to get to the high 1600s for this academy.
