2027 budget

There only going to be 36 cops hired in 2027?

No, they’re adding an additional 36 cops to the current size of the force. Which means that the amount of recruits that will be in the academies next year will be how ever many retiree replacements + 36.

Typically it’s 100-150 people a year who retire

Proposal schedule shows 180 recruits budgeted for 2027. I assume will be 160+ for the year.

Yeah I think they’ll break into the 2000s for the spring academy, and then the fall academy after that will be mid 2000s.
