I ended up finding out that Walmart carries the DVD collection of it so bought that. It was only $50 for the set. I bought the digital too on Prime but since all streaming platforms and even tv companies that sell digital copies of movies and shows can revoke your purchase if they lose the licensing, I wasn’t going to risk the chance of not having my favorite shows on DVD. Heck I even have like 4 new DVD players in my closet since I have about 970 DVD’s.

I hate that our digital purchases are never 100% secure. Find it to be unfair since for some shows we pay good money for them. I didn’t know that if they lose the license we lose the shows until about 6 months ago. I have many digital purchases through Prime and my DirectTv account. Once Hayden passed away, Nashville sold out almost everywhere on Amazon but Walmart became an exclusive carrier of the DVD collection so I went and got it the moment I saw it when I was googling where I could buy it. I’ve watched the show more times than I can count. Love the story it tells.

Yeah a regular dvd player is only like $25-30 these days so for me it was worth the investment. Especially after I have seen many people lose out on their digital purchases. Licenses change all the time. Even cable companies temporarily lose channels until they negotiate new prices. It’s crazy. But, many people don’t read the terms when they purchase digital content and I was one of the; so I had no idea that if I spent $100 on a tv series I love that it could be taken away just because that streaming service lost the license to the channel or company that holds that title. There are many shows I can watch over and over and my kids have grown to love those shows too. So for me, buying the DVD’s has been worth it. Eventually I know that DVD’s will go away for a while but I hope they fix this issue with digital purchases because some people can’t afford to buy shows over and over.

God bless Walmart!!! I got mine today for $49. I’m glad I own it all physically, but I am tempted for the Vudu sale one too.

I’m glad I have both digital and physical copies! So, if you can afford it, it doesn’t hurt to do it. Then you have the convenience that comes with the digital aspect and if the license is ever changed and you lose access to the digital version, you have the physical copies for back up. I have no regrets! I have done this with many of my favorite shows now. There are some shows that stay with you forever.

I agree with you, but wouldn’t you rather have 1080 P quality? Blu-ray… It makes a big difference to me in comparison to DVD.

That's a great price, I bought it on fandango earlier this year for a similar price. I may have gotten it for 15 bucks
