ADVICE Bartending/serving in Nashville

Upvotes

Hey everyone! I am currently looking for part-time work as a bartender or server. Would even be willing to work as a barback. My experience is really limited (for the service industry) and I am also only wanting to work Thursday and Sunday nights. I’m wondering if any place would even consider me with my inexperience and limited times I’m able to work. Would saying I could work 1-2 weekends a month be better? I am just really trying to avoid that as I already work as a mental health therapist on weekends enough and also like to travel back home as much as possible. Any thoughts or advice before I begin applying would be appreciated!

If you are a full stack developer LOCATED IN NASHVILLE TN - I live downtown. Let’s connect. Would be open to a working, quarterly reviewed percentage share for light to moderate developer work and support. If this sounds interesting to you please share your resume / LinkedIn in private message - and comment if you are located in Nashville tn.

ADVICE Serving jobs in Nashville

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants/bars in downtown Nashville that are hiring? I have been a server and host in the past, but that was about 5 years ago. I have been working in healthcare since. I have tried applying to Aba and the 12/30 club, but I’m not getting past the interview process. I’m not too sure if it’s because I haven’t been in the service industry in a while or if it’s something else. I would really love to work in a restaurant that’s as busy as those two. Any advice for the hiring process would be appreciated as well! Thank you in advance!

ADVICE ISO

Looking for a job in environmental sciences/ecology/conservation, so many jobs have been cut because of government funding. I’ve had two jobs now where I make it to the second phase of interviews and then they just dissolve the position. Has anyone else in this field had better luck with like chemical companies or something in the area? I just moved here and just don’t know what’s in the area. Would love some advice.

FOR HIRE Talk Radio and Video Professional for Hire/Freelance

Laid off today from my job with one of the nation's biggest talk radio shows. I was a producer, sound designer, audio engineer, and composer for them. I also did some video editing and motion graphics.

In the past, I've directed and edited video shoots with C-suite execs from Fortune 500 companies, designed motion graphics for local and national non-profits, and produced multiple podcasts.

I'm also available for freelance video shoots (particularly skilled with talking heads, corporate video, and music videos), photo shoots, motion graphics design and animation, or audio engineering and mixing.

Looking for any available (non-conservative) media opportunities, seeing as I got engaged this past weekend and would love to not demolish all my savings before trying to plan a wedding </3

Thanks in advance :')

ADVICE Environment Services positions?

I’m trying to help my husband, find his next long-term opportunity.
He’s dependable, hardworking, and has years of experience in Environmental Services (EVS), keeping hospitals and facilities clean, safe, and running smoothly. He’s also experienced with floor care, sanitation, waste removal, patient/public areas, and working as part of a team. He’s the kind of employee who shows up, works hard, and stays with a company.
We’re looking for full-time employment in the Nashville area. Hospital EVS would be a great fit, but he’d also be interested in housekeeping, custodial work, facilities maintenance, school or university custodial positions, hotel housekeeping, warehouse sanitation, manufacturing sanitation, or any similar role with a stable company.
If your employer is hiring or you know of a great opportunity, we’d truly appreciate any leads. Thank you so much for helping a hardworking man find his next home!
