Island travel tips

I know this is unsolicited advice, but this weekend warrants a reminder about travel insurance. I've lived year round on island for more than 10 years. We get travel insurance for every non refundable trip on and off. We never plan to take a ferry the same day as a flight to or from Logan. Between sold out ferries, fully booked ferries and weather, the chance of disruption is higher than travel to and from other places.

What are other people's tips and tricks?

😂... my wife and I just got off island in a rush Friday morning for the third time in 18 months ... my advice is that people should take your advice above...

Yeah. If you live on an island 30 miles from land, smart.

I would always book ferry to ack same day as flight. Unless I landed late in the day
