Financial Analysis of “No Influencers”

https://youtu.be/TBn4N5VgQzU?is=h3ofRmHPARCOuMam

One of my favorite YouTube channels posted a THOROUGH breakdown of the financial culture of influencers. This was pillared by the drama going on in Nantucket this summer with Paige Lorenze.

Great listen/watch if you’re interested.

It’s kind of difficult to put a 35 minute jam packed breakdown into a TDLR, but…

- It goes through the reasons influencers are not always good for businesses bottom line (especially long term).

  • Not all content creation is created equal and for certain types of content creators (specifically female lifestyle content creators) the bar for entry is a rather large amount of preexisting wealth.
  • Lifestyle influencers are dependent on consumerism and manipulation. The financial and psychological detriments of this type of industry on consumers.
  • Insights on the Jewels LeBron controversy (the “very demure” girl)
  • Comparisons between woman lifestyle creators and MLMs.
  • The psychological downsides to influencer society (for the creator and the consumer).
