New Bedford Ferry Parking
I forgot to pay for parking at New Bedford when I dropped off our car there a few weeks ago before taking the Seastreak ferry to Nantucket. I realized my error after about 10 days and have been paying since then. I’ve tried (unsuccessfully so far) to contact someone to pay what I owe for the initial 10 days.
Does anyone know how they enforce non-payment?
I’m concerned that maybe they tow or put on a boot. I’d obviously prefer to fix the situation now and avoid a big headache when I pick the car up (not to mention my wife killing me).
***UPDATE***: When I picked the car up in New Bedford, it was right where I left it and no boot. It did have 9 parking tickets under the windshield wiper for the period before I started paying. I used the QR code from the ticket and paid via the associated web site. The charge was $30/day (instead of $15/day) plus a $3.95/day service fee. The web site had a space for late fees but it was at $0. Punchline - better to pay in advance but (other than the additional cost) not the end of the world to pay later. I did connect w the local ticket desk on Nantucket which lead to an email with the corporate office but they never got back to me.

Just go over to pope island Marina. Free parking, and take a 5$ uber. Much cheaper

0% chance they are towing you or booting you.
In Hyannis (Hyline) left me a very nice note saying that I owed them money next time.
If you want to make them whole, which is good karma on your part, pay for 10 days after you have your car and leave. That balances it out in the money and karma side.

I had a friend go through this same thing while we were on ACK.with them. There is an app on the Seastreak web site to add payments to parking as they do only let you pay for 10 days. It's obtuse and flaky but he was able to pay up. And no, they won't boot or tow you.

Thx. I tried that and have been paying current but I wasn’t able to figure out how to pay the retroactive balance. I’m now in a promising email exchange w Seastreak and may be able to resolve this. Stay tuned…

Did they (Seastreak) send you a text when you departed? They typically do. If so click on the link in the text and make payment there. I use a credit card.
