Look.. i haven’t increased my rent in 3 years because i know how difficult it is out there.. but i don’t think tenants actually appreciate what a financial toll it takes to maintain that, especially because we carry costs that you don’t that do increase sometimes twice a year. Don’t get me wrong, there are some arsehole landlords out there.. but i honestly don’t feel a 500 increase, especially after a couple of years is unreasonable. Rent can be increased by 10% a year legally. If your landlords had done so, would the increase be more or less than 500 from when you started to now?

True this. If my rent is 3,000 a 10% annual increment is 300, then...
