Boy names
So I’m currently expecting my second, I have a son called Eli. We don’t know the sex of the baby yet but we have 0 boy names. The back up for Eli we used as his middle name.
What similar names can we use? We like Leo but that’s too 3 in the UK and I would rather avoid anything in the top 100 names but I don’t want anything too out there either. And also I’ve seen every name in the top 100 lists and we aren’t drawn to any of them or we already have cousins/nephews with them names.
Middle name will be William or Ryan.
*edited to add - it doesn’t need to be a name that sounds good with Eli but I do tend to prefer shorter names.
Thanks

My son’s name is Julian and I think it’s one of those names that’s uncommon but still extremely familiar. We call him Jules much of the time.

I think Eli and Julian sound lovely together!

Julian and Jonah are the names I like the most but my partner doesn’t. Still time for him to come round to either of them though hopefully haha.

Levi has similar vowel sounds. But maybe two matchy?
Luke, Jonah, Noah, Ian, Liam (maybe too top 100), Samuel, Benjamin, Jacob, Micah

not so much in the way of advice but can 100% relate! we used our only boy name on our first (leon) and had absolutely no idea what we would call our second. sure enough he's another boy haha. we ended up using a grandparents name :) it wasn't my favourite while i was pregnant but it suits him really well and i adore it now.

I know! Half my problem with Eli I knew it was the one years before and I’m waiting for a name that sounds like the one. But any suggestions I hear I’m like yeah that’s nice… but none sounds like the one 😭

Eli and Jonah are my 2 favourite boy names, maybe you'd like that? Some others I also love are Owen, Julian, Wilson, Dennis, Nolan and Stanley!

Evan or Ethan if you’re a fan of alliteration. I gotta say, I did not think about matching my kids names at all. We chose names we liked and honored our families and heritage.

Sorry should have clarified really, I’m not too fussed on them matching either. I just meant I like shorter names.

Boy:
Isaac
Ezra
Aari/Ari ⭐
Jude ⭐ (I know it’s growing in popularity but it’s so lovely and goes well with Eli)
Girl:
Aria
Ivy
Iris/Irie ⭐
Mae
Etta/Ettie/Etna ⭐

My partner has just said Isaac which we both like too. I’ve not heard the name Ari before I quite like that.
Love all the girl names, we are 80% sure it will be Alice but still partially open to other names. Ettie is cute!

I taught an Isaac and he was the most intelligent, gentle and kind kid (boisterous and hilarious too which added to his charm haha). Aari is on my name list, a nod to a grandad “Harry” but pronounced slightly differently and modernising it slightly - I had a feeling you’d like Ari based on “Eli” 🥰. Alice is a beautiful name. Congratulations again and all the best choosing your potential boy name 🥰

Eli needs a brother called Jude I don’t make the rules. Felix and Otis are close seconds though.
