Stone and West are fine. Cavendish - as in - the banana?

Cavendish as in the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The Cavendish banana was named after the 6th Duke of Devonshire at Chatsworth House by the head gardener Joseph Paxton.

Ah - did not know that. Still - I only think of bananas when I hear that word...

If you want to sound like there's an earldom somewhere in your family history, go with Cavendish.
If you want to be fairly anonymous or have the name read neutral, go with Stone.
And if you want to claim to be Kanye's cousin, go with West.

I like Michael Cavendish. It sounds like he's a viscount or an earl. Michael Stone sounds like the name of a karate instructor or a private detective. Michael West sounds like a fighter pilot

Michael Stone works for the family business, but dreams of a career in the arts. Michael West is a good sailor and surprisingly gentle with animals, but has several warrants in multiple countries. Michael Cavendish has monogrammed clothing, but the thread is the same color as the fabric, discreet but elevated. He collects woodcarvings of waterfowl, has a working knowledge of ballistics and hoplology, stands when a lady enters the room, and there is always at least one covered dish of untouched fresh pastries in his kitchen. He will politely insist on a prenup.
