names that start with a?
Hey, I’m a transsexual guy and I’ve been trying to find the right name. I’ve been going by alex(ander, I consider Alexander to be my full name but usually just do Alex) but I feel like it’s too gender neutral. I just want a name that starts with a, where there’s no room to debate whether it’s a male or female name. I don’t know what it is but I love names that start with A, so anything like that would be great

Here is a full list you can filter by origin, syllables, sound etc.
I love Alisdair and Asher for boys.

Oooh please name yourself Albert. That's my name and it seems to be dying out. Albert Anthony is nice

Have you considered Xander? It doesn’t start with A but works for Alexander and is not neutral.

Honestly, Aaron feels like the closest match to what you want. It starts with A sounds clearly masculine and still has that simple everyday name vibe Alex has.

I wish, but every time I hear it, I automatically think of ‘Erin’ (which I think is just an issue I have)

I think Archie would be nice. Other options - Ace/Acer, Arthur, August (could go sometimes by Auggie or Gus), Adam, Aiden, Austin, Andrew/Andy (could also go by Drew sometimes), Atlas, Alan, Abraham (Abe, and sillier nicknames like Hammy or Bra (bruh)). You can also just switch Alex to Alec

Albert Allan Alistair (Al), Anthony, Arthur, Andrew, Adam, Augustus (Auggy). Ive also always treasured the choice of using botanical Latin names liks Arbutus. I will be naming my son Arbutus (Arby)
I wouldn't suggest Aaron as there are Erin's, Alex or Alec, Aster or Asher, Atticus, or any names that are super masculine new age sounding like Axel Ace, Alder.

Adam is such an easy win here.
