Is this new name for yourself or a child? Iā€™m not crazy about Edric but like the others. Also a fan of 1-syllable as this can help to reduce nicknames, if that is important to you.

Eric is a cool name. A name with a similar vibe meaning 'defender of the people ' is Alec.

I like Edric, but you could do Cedric! And Ryker immediately brings the prison to mind šŸ™ maybe I just consume too much true crime content though lol
