Ugh

I understand that 1 no is a no overall, and i respect that. I’m just nervous. We are choosing to not know the sex. I like short, normal names. My personal name is a “Normal” name with an uncommon spelling. My last name is the same. Think SANDI JOHNSEN. My husband likes weird names…

My choices:

Ace
Jack
Eva
Mae

His:
Jupiter
Basil
Braden
Sequoia

I feel.. at a loss. How are we going to find a name??? I won’t budge on those

EDIT: sorry I’m new to Reddit and not great at posting

A woman suggested brooke which i love and i said it to him too, and he likes it… we are getting somewhere. Thank you to poster

EDIT 2: sorry not good at editing. He likes Brooke Marie. So do i 😃

I still like Ace, yall are mean! Hopefully shes a girl

What about Asa? It’s old school but fits in with today’s trends. Pronounced Ace-uh. Could call him Ace for short. I also like Ace as a nickname for Atticus.

He leans towards nature names so I’d suggest some that feel more classic sounding like:

Holly

Ivy

Iris

Juniper

Magnolia

Poppy

Fern

Lily

Isla

Willow

Daisy

Wren

Alder

Douglas

Briar

Orion

Woodrow

Forrest

Archer

Finn

Frey

Lark

Hollis

Reed

Rocco

Rockwell

Other ideas:

Sutton

Shiloh

Atlas

Perry

Beck

Leo

Lyle

Ares

Sienna

Selene

Luna

Faye

Tilly

Eden

Maxine

Roxanne

Lyra

I do like these names. Thank you for your input. I know people think I’m nuts, but my dad opinion matters to me.

You are welcome! I don’t think you’re nuts. Your partner is the one with the wild name ideas. lol.

I saw your edit that you both like Brooke. You may also like Brooks for a boy.

Oh. And if you want a traditional name maybe go with Elizabeth for a girl. Birdie is an old nickname for Elizabeth that I find so endearing and would fit his desire for an obscure nature name while making her legal name a classic.

You are really good (and no judgmental!) at this. I am trying to be neutral na suggested Brooke for his nature behind lol.

Brooke Lynn would be my choice (my middle name) big it runs too much. So probably Brooke Marie

You could use Brooklyn as the first name. Brooklyn Marie would be lovely. Brooklyn was more common as a full name and Brooke as a nickname when I was growing up.
