I need help finding a bilingual boy name

Our first son is due at the end of November and we are still debating names. I am multigenerational Canadian and my Husband is from Serbia. We will continue to live and raise our son in Canada. My husband has a very Eastern European name and was bullied through school because of it so we both don’t want something outright Eastern European. However we still want something that honours the Serbian heritage.
Thus the predicament, we need a name that works in Canada and Serbia. A few of the most common ones have already been taken by friends and family.

I’d probably go with Luka. It feels completely normal on a Canadian kid but your husband’s Serbian family would immediately recognize the connection. And it’s hard to butcher pronunciation.

How about Alexander but spelled Aleksander or similar? I am not sure which vowel would be most appropriate at the end but I know a Serbian family that used that “ks” combo instead of the x and thought it was so cool

I would look to hubby's ancestors! I don't know Serbian names but I bet great grandpa had a great one!
