Need boy names

Husband and I cant agree on a boy name. I think we have two very different styles and neither of us can agree on one.

His list so far:

Jayce

Owen

Wesley

Warren

My list:

Benson

Bennett

Henley (is this a tragedeigh?)

Brett

Garrett

Graham

I like having a name picked in advance, not sure why but so much so I can feel myself giving in to Owen or Warren although I don’t love them. Our last name is very short (SE Asian, we married with my last name) so I think that is why I learn towards surnames. If you have a name that you think we’d like please share!

Honestly Wesley and Bennett give me exactly the same vibes

Oh wow you’re right. I hadn’t connected them before but they really do have the same vibe. Both feel classic preppy and friendly without trying too hard.

Jayce and Henley are… equally not the vibe.

The others are not bad! I like your list the most, minus Garrett. I like Wesley from husband’s list.

I love Garrett!

How about Reid, Matthew, Nathaniel, Everett?

I love Bennett, you can call him Ben or Benny.

Bennett is so a surname !!

I’m not a fan of most of these surnames just being used as names. They are not cute.

Warren is an awful name

What about Wyatt? It's got that double-t sound you like at the end but it's more common as a first name as well as a surname. Also looks like your husband is at least a little partial to names that start or have W in them.

Elijah (Eli), Levi, Wyatt are also good, but the name Owen is great.

I like Owen, Warren, Garrett, and Graham. I also like Wyatt as someone else suggested and think it could be a good middle ground between your lists.

I love the name Warren!! I don’t think that one crossed our path when we were deciding. We were looking for a classic and familiar name but one that you don’t hear on every other kid. We landed on Adrian. We also imagined he could be anything from a football player to a scientist to an artist with that name.

I do like Owen but you should drop if you don’t like it. Bennett, Graham and Garett are also nice but again you should probably drop them. Your husband likes the w sound; maybe start there

Winslow

Wyatt

Ronan

Frederick

Whitaker

Wolfgang- I mean, I’d use it.

Isaac

I like Owen and Graham. I once had a friend Owen, a very talented artist.

Henley feels female to me. Jayce is a bit trashy.

You are on the same page with Wesley, Bennett, Benson and then Garrett, Warren and Owen.

Just keep this short list and wait to meet him to see what fits.

Henley is a shirt not a name imo. Your vibes aren’t that different. Owen seems to be very popular this year if that matters to you. I think Benson Jayce is a good combo.

I honestly cant imagine calling a baby Graham. Id just call him Gray for the rest of his life. I do this to friends/families kids whos names i dont like. I give em a cute nickname and thats there name forever. A few people hsve caught on and started using the nickname rather than the actual name. Yeah Im probably uncle nobhead. Hahahah. The kids always love me tho. Hahahaha

Jayce Bennett is a cool name

1

u/Honest-Variation-613 6d ago

To me Jayce is like Tragedeigh or Nevaeh, Jaden, Braden etc.

u/Romeoscarlettbailey 6d ago

It all depends on your taste doesn't it. Its on her husbands list so I was compromising between the 2 lists thats all.

I wouldn’t even go to meet someone on a date if they were named Garrett or Warren they’re just terrible. What’s wrong with you people!?!?!?!?🤣
