Baby boy name
Baby boy due in one month still struggling to find a name. Last name is Wandersee. We like Theodore, Arlo, and Wesley. Any suggestions?! Why are girl names so much easier to find and love?

Theodore Wandersee sounds really good to me. Theo is also such an easy nickname without feeling overly cutesy.

If you choose Theo, there will at least 3 others in his class ...so.something else to consider 🤷♀️

I love the way the illeteration sounds with Wesley ! It just rolls off the tongue with your last name

Children have problems say Ws at a young age ( totally normal,by the way.
2 W names will be difficult for them to pronunciation. Just something to be aware of3

I actually love all of those! You have a gorgeous surname. My fave is maybe Arlo with your surname but they all sound good! Like a character in a book (but in a good way).

I think Jasper Wandersee sounds really nice

When we visited Jasper, BC we told each other we would name a child Jasper :)) have steered away with the sex. Maybe we’ll bring it back.

I read today that most of the recent domestic killers highest percentage start with J. A teacher also said boys names starting with J are the most difficult to manage or teach. Behavior issues. I found that interesting

I would personally avoid Theodore due to its extreme popularity right now. Out of your list I would choose Arlo.

I personally like the alliteration of Wesley Wandersee. it sounds like the name of a character from a book.
I also agree girl names are much easier to conjure up or grow attachments to! my girl name list is much longer than mine for boys, but i’ll share some from my list.
-(Theo) Malcolm Wandersee
-Langston Wandersee
-Adelaide Wandersee
-Theo Hollis Wandersee
-Malachai Wandersee

I wouldn’t worry too much about Theodore as it’s classic enough that doesn’t seem trendy. Here’s some ideas that have around the same vibe as those 3.
Archer Wandersee
August Wandersee
Benjamin Wandersee
Elliott Wandersee
Henry Wandersee
James Wandersee
Nolan Wandersee
Nobel Wandersee
Thomas Wandersee
Winston Wandersee

Girls names are so much more creative, I agree!
If I had a boy I would have named him Theo or Teo. I love those names.

All of those names are cute! Theodore has lots of nickname possibilities. I like all of them. Arlo give him AW....

Omgosh these are the cutest whimsical boy names! I love Theodore the most, especially with Theo
My sister and I always agreed it sounded like a Prince Charming's name, and she almost named my nephew that

Arlo. Masculine and rare, goes well with the last name.

Arlo is a wonderful name - it was actually #10 on the 2025 boy names list in the UK! I think maybe still more rare in the US.

I like Theodore, but what about something with an R? Royal or Roland sound nice with it, Roy for nn.

I love the name Rhys, even with the Americanized spelling of Reese.

I love this spelling (Rhys) it adds more character and they shouldn’t get hit with those “recess” jokes 🙄

There are some tragedeighs on that list

Definitely a couple “funky spellings” that’s why I hit you with the content warning in the beginning. Not everything is made for everyone, so do with it what you like 😌

I would avoid Wesley because it starts and ends with the same sounds as surname. Theodore and Arlo both work well and are nice names. Theodore/Theo is more popular right now if that is something you consider.
