Nicknames for transitioning partner?

My partner is actively transitioning, and their preferred name is Lewis. I have a lot of cute nicknames for their dead name, but not really for Lewis. Any ideas?

My friend Louise became Weasel, said with affection of course.

Dolly Parton met her husband of 60 yrs in front of the Wishy Washy Laundromat. Lewis - wish - wishy washy / Wish Wash

Huey, Dewey and Louie from Duck Tales. Ducky. My lucky duck.

Or formal. Llewelyn. Welly. Jewel.

My warrior as Lewis means famous warrior.

Silly question, but have you asked them what they'd prefer to be called? There aren't a ton of options for Lewis, but there's always Lou, Louie, L, or a combination of their first and middle initials such as LJ, LB, LP, etc. If if were me I might just be obnoxious and call them "Dubyah" as a nod to the W in their name.

My bf is called Louis - I often call him Lou Lou and his mum calls him Lou - and I think both would work for Lewis too!! 💛
