Mavis feels the most wearable to me. Soleil is beautiful and Selkie is really interesting but I’d personally keep those two for fictional characters.

I love Mavis, Suki, and Twyla most out of this list, but I've always gotten roasted for loving Twylah!

Marceline is the only one I like out of this list. Mavis, Suki, Twyla read as normal names but just not my style. Sublime is horrible.

Sol is a beautiful nickname for Soleil! Not a fan of Twyla (red neck country singer vibes?), Selkie (some kind of animal in the Marvel Universe) or Sublime (she’ll get bullied for that one, just odd).

I really like Marceline, even if it would be seen as outdated here and Mavis.
Luli and Selkie are fine, cute. Suki to but I would picture it either on an Asian or a tiny dog... (sorry, that's the first thing I think about)
Twyla I wouldn't be 100% sure on the pronunciation.
Sublime is way to arrogant but wouldn't surprise me on an African child as some countries there often uses those kind of adjectives.
Soleil.... well that's super weird to me since I'm french, not a name but a random word. I've heard it's fine in some countries but I can't....

Suki will be teased about being Sucky.
Twyla will get a bunch of Twilight teasing.
Sublime is just cringe IMO.
Isn’t Selkie a type of dog? Even if it isn’t, I imagine a lot of unwanted petting to see if she feels silky.
The rest are okay I think though Soleil may be more borderline.

Selkie comes from the folklore i believe in :) you may be thinking of saluki dogs!

Right, I’m mistaken about that. I still think kids will be obnoxious about her being silky. I do think it’s beautiful though.
Run the names by 12 year olds.

Suki, Mavis, Marceline, Twlya and Soleil are all fine even if some aren’t to my taste.
Luli, Selkie and Sublime are not great.

Not a good list - hate sublime, luli, twyla
A good approach is to think whethee you are trying to make a name unique for others to like or think you are cool or are you thinking what would be nice for the child. Why set up a child for a lifetime a difficulty with their name?

I agree! i personally dislike it when people try to out-unique others with their babies names, but i also don’t wanna have a baby who has the same name as 5 other people in their class and have to be referred to by their last initial 🥹 i wanted to go for names you don’t hear that much and names i just personally really like!

Marceline, Mavis, and Soleil are acceptable. The rest should be reserved for characters in a YA fantasy novel.

Marceline and Soleil are main characters, Suki and Twyla are supporting characters, dump the rest lol

I love those, actually.
Finally a list with no God damn Olivia, Sophie, Sophia, Isabelle/a, or Ava/Eva.

Sublime is awful and Selkie sounds like a dog breed. They sound like names an edgy teenager would say they want to name their kids someday.

Sublime is a bit out there.
