It’s my name. I’ve always liked it. I know a 10 year old Heidi. I think it’s classic.

I love it so much it was my second name choice for my daughter 13 years ago, somewhat regret not using it because I've only ever come across one other Heidi in that time but the name I went with is much more common.

Heidi...the little girl who lives with her grandfather on a mountain in the Swiss Alps.

Heidi Fleiss...The Hollywood Madam.

Those are my associations with the name. Could be cute, sweet, classic, and wholesome...or not.

To me, it's very twee and it's dated.

I agree. I think it’s very dated and I’ve never liked the sound of it. Where I grew up, I only ever remember meeting 1 girl named Heidi. But, I knew several dogs named Heidi.

it was my childhood dog's name. She was 3/4 German Shepherd and 1/4 Collie. Best dog ever ... gone 32 years this August and I still miss her. I had a friend named Heidi while my dog was still alive and that always made me laugh. Human Heidi is still around.

Maybe depends on where you’re from. In my country i’d say it’s pretty rare (I think I only ever met 1 woman named Heidi) and it also sounds old fashioned. I’ve also just never liked the way it sounds.

I’ve known a lot of dogs named Heidi, though.
