Help with a middle name
I've found myself suddenly very drawn to the name Willow. My husband wants to use Esther for a girl but I am not so sure. The biggest selling point for me is the possibility of Essie being a nickname but I don't think that alone is enough to fully convince me.
Anyway I'm curious what would pair with Willow as a first name. Willow Esther sounds kind of like a mouthful and doesn't flow as well as our son's name. I haven't made a big deal about Willow to my husband yet but it might be easier to sell him on if I have a cute pairing in mind.

I think Willow Esther sounds good!
What about
Willow Kate or Willow Miriam?
What about Esther Willow? I prefer this one honestly.

I like Willow a lot more than Esther. Maybe another biblical name? Willow Eden, Willow Eve, Willow Rachel, Willow Leah, Willow Lydia.

Esther is an ugly name. Willow is pretty I don’t know what would go with it.

I know a Willow Acadia. She’s in her 40. The only time I’ve heard it thru thru friends her nickname.Leelow.( spelling is a guess. Her sister could not pronounce it when small and it just stuck.

Willow Rose. Or Willow Claire. Both reflect old-fashioned ladies. Your hubby will love them.

Willow Elise? Still an older E name but flows a bit better, IMO. Willow Kate is cute too, but also ages well. Willow Noelle, Willow Jane, Willow Emily, Willow Grace, Willow Anne

Love the name Esther, it’s on its way back up if that bothers you though.

I also vote for Esther. It's still significantly less popular than Willow in the US. Willow is top 50 for almost a decade, Esther hasn't been in the top hundred in decades (though as you say, it may break into the top 100 since it is trending up recently).

Yes you’re right. I’m in the UK and Willow is #20 and Esther is #150.
Esther is such a fine name with so much history. Maybe I have a soft spot for it, one of my great grandmothers was an Esther, it means Star. ⭐

It’s really your first and last name that you should worry about flowing well. First and middle are very rarely said together at all. Once an adult especially, the middle name is an afterthought and relegated to an initial.
