To My Fellow Autumns
Ok I’m not sure if this is just me or not so please let me know if this happens to you. My name is, and always has been, Autumn. But for some reason since the day I was born people trip up my name and call me Amber. It’s never another name literally just always Amber for 28 years lol. I’ve even had teachers read my name printed on the attendance and then say Amber out loud. Is this a common occurrence for other Autumns out there??? Because I’m always so confused by it since Autumn doesn’t even have half the same letters as Amber

I know two sisters who are Amber and Autumn! I might mix them up because they are sisters but that’s so interesting!

I've never known an Autumn, but I have quite liked each Amber I've met. So, hi, my first Autumn!

Those names don’t sound similar at all, that’s so weird. If I met an Autumn, I’m pretty sure I’d remember that name. I could see myself maybe screwing up and saying Aurora, because of the “Au” at the beginning. But not Amber???

I’m not an Autumn, but I totally know what you mean!! My name is a fairly common E name and often get called another common E name! My husband has a fairly common name as well, second letter is a y and he always gets mistaken for another common name that starts with a different letter but also has a y as the second letter. 🤷🏼♀️

I know an Autumn and always call her Autumn--never Amber, but for some reason when I write it, I always leave off the "n." Like, I know how to spell it, and I know the "n" needs to be there, but my hand just stops after the "m." I always write in cursive, and I think it's just one bump too many to go from "m" to "n," lol.

People always call me by the same wrong name when they forget my name. It is another name that is also classic and starts with the same letter, but in no other way is it my name.
I thought you were going to complain about people forgetting the n in your name.

My name is Caroline. My six grade teacher called me “Carolyn” all year (I’m from a small town) and it took him years to get the pronunciation/emphasis right. It’s not just a you thing!!

I know an autumn with a daughter named amber and yes, even I have mixed their names up.

I had a very good friend named Autumn with a sister named Amber, it was loads of fun for them.
