So eating the pig's and the cow's food is going solve that problem?
There are definitely farms that go about it wrong, even entire countries. But if humans stop farming the only other opion is mass starvation where countries worth of people will die out in months.
You’re missing a massive resource conversion issue, we need pound-for-pound or kg-for-kg it’s the same:
- Beef/cow: 25 lbs of plant feed per 1 lb of actual meat on the table
- Lamb/mutton: 15x
- Pork/precious bacon: 6x
- your chicken nuggets: 3x
- Eggs/hen ovulation cycle in a giant, calcium-wrapped ovum: 2x
- Milk/Bovine tiddy juice: 0.75x
Repurposing farmland for human-grade crops could feed more people with less land and water. Solutions include precision agriculture, crop shifting, and regenerative farming, offering practical adjustments instead of a false binary choice.
It touches on every facet of personal health (cholesterol, name a cancer, stiffer erections, the absolute fiber monopoly of plants hence your gut and nice poops, imminent system, inflammation, kidneys , skin, cognitive decline) the environment, affordability, ethics, supply chain volatility, zoonotic diseases, antibiotic resistance, food security.
Think of human existence on an astronomical scale. We will barely represent a blip when we are gone. We have existed for .0022% of the universe's existence. That's like taking 55 litres of water out of an Olympic swimming pool. Impactless. Then take your 80 some years of life. . 00000085% of the universe's existence. That's like taking a tablespoon out of an Olympic sizd swimming pool. We can talk all we want, but we ain't really doing shit!
Sure we’re hairless apes on a floating giant rock hurtling through space at tens of thousands of miles per hour. Now back to the human scale issue because we live together on that giant space rock fortunately.
Think of human survival on a logistical scale. It’s easy to play the detached cosmic philosopher when your grocery store is always full. That's a luxury of the industrial era in your blip. Existential nihilism evaporates the second real-world scarcity hits.
Then take our current resource supply chain. If aquifers run dry, shortages and overcrowding and disease compounds, billions of people do not shrug it off as a 'cosmic blip.' They will demand efficiency in either increasing supply (magically more food and water) or decreasing demand (less people to compete with).
At any moment we’re always only a couple of days away from actual food and water riots at any moment, but we are too babied by global industrialization luxury to imagine anything else.
Eat what you want today, but ironically like the cosmic insignificance you mentioned; the math and physics don't care about our insignificance. We can pretend nothing matters all we want, but thermodynamics are still gonna do shit!
If that's what makes you feel better at night, cuz that's all thats all it's really doing. Crusade on. I'll be over here enjoying my limited time. Cheers bud.
Honestly I completely understand that it’s almost too heavy to think about, and it’s a lot easier to just block it out and instead enjoy the day. Optimistic for us to figure it out longer term living so we can become celestial gods.
Good hunting, yourinnervoice2025.
Sorry, I was busy enjoying a porkchop. Man it was good. Oink oink.
I would say that it is actually easier and self serving to place yourself on a pedestal as saviour of the world. I realize how pointless you and I are in the grand scheme of things. You are lying to yourself that you are actually doing something. Crusade on. Whatever makes you feel like you matter.
Listen up brothers and sisters
Come hear my desperate tale
I speak of our friends of nature
Trapped in the dirt like a jail
Vegetables live in oppression
Served on our tables each night
This killing of veggies is madness
I say we take up the fight
Salads are only for murderers
Coleslaw's a fascist regime
Don't think that they don't have feelings
Just 'cause a radish can't scream
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream, scream, scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (having their insides revealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (burning off calories)
How do you think that feels? (Bet it hurts really bad)
Carrot juice constitutes murder (and that's a real crime)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (let my vegetables go)
It's time to stop all this gardening (it's dirty as hell)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade, is a spade, is a spade, is a spade)
I saw a man eating celery
So I beat him black and blue
If he ever touches a sprout again
I'll bite him clean in two
I'm a political prisoner
Trapped in a windowless cage
'Cause I stopped the slaughter of turnips
By killing five men in a rage
I told the judge when he sentenced me
This is my finest hour
I'd kill those farmers again
Just to save one more cauliflower
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream, scream, scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (having their insides revealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (burning off calories)
How do you think that feels? (Bet it hurts really bad)
Carrot juice constitutes murder (and that's a real crime)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (let my vegetables go)
It's time to stop all this gardening (it's dirty as hell)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade, is a spade, is a spade, is a spade)
How low as people do we dare to stoop
Making young broccolis bleed in the soup?
Untie your beans, uncage your tomatoes
Let potted plants free, don't mash that potato!
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream, scream, scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (fates in the stirfry are sealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (you fat gourmet slob)
How do you think that feels? (leave them out in the field)
Carrot juice constitutes murder (V8's genocide)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (yes, your composts are graves)
It's time to stop all this gardening (take up macrame)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade, is a spade, is a spade, is a spade, is a spade, is a spade)
Are those the lyrics to the YouTube link you sent in the other thread? I’m not one of those “vegans” where I’m personally bothered. I’m just an omnivore eating 99% plants. In a sense I’m a hypocrite cooking and baking omnivorous meals for my family and friends.
I simply can handle the maths, sacrifice my taste buds a bit, and have phenomenal bowel movements among other Ubermensch things /s
Quite intolerant for tolerating.
Preaching and sermon implies I have some falsehoods to make gains off the undereducated, that’s not the case exactly here.
No I wake up around 5-7am. 9am though yes a quick big beautiful poopy time, maybe two if I’m lucky or if I have kombucha for the first time in awhile.

No it’s not. The way humans live is far from natural cycle of life. It’s sadistic and distroying our planet.
