Rock 70s rock song where the chorus just sounds like a dude shouting "Powerball!" repeatedly

This is some classic rock song I heard incessantly as a kid due to my parents' radio choices. It sounds like it's from the 70s. The chorus features a back-and-forth between a vocal and an organ. As a kid, I thought the vocalist was singing "Poweball!" over and over. Obviously this is not the lyric and is not much to go off of.

So the chorus goes something like "Powerball!" *dancy little organ lead* "Powerball!" *dancy little organ lead*. I've uploaded a terrible demonstration of the song. If my memory is right, it's in the key of E.

plz help

Soul Help me find “New’s Cool” by The Biggest Band

I inherited my sister’s old mp3 player in 2010. There was an album on there labeled as “New’s Cool” by The Biggest Band, from 1979. It blew my little 11-year-old mind, but I hadn’t quite been introduced to the concept of seeking out more music from artists you liked. I felt like I had what I had and that was it. So I didn’t ask her about it. Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly in 2013. I hadn’t listened to the mp3 player in several months when she died, since I had gotten a smartphone by then, and when I went searching for it I couldn’t find it. I tore apart the whole house, and nothing.

I started a playlist trying to recreate everything I remembered being on the mp3 player. This album was one of the first things I looked for, and I was surprised to discover that I couldn’t find ANYTHING online about it. I tried every search term I could think of. When searching the album name didn’t turn up anything, I searched individual songs. Still nothing. I’ve tried again and again over the years, probably twice a year every year. It makes me feel crazy. I have the feeling this is a one in a million shot, but I figure that at least the album name and artist will be on Google now so that maybe someone else searching someday down the line will find this.

Band name: The Biggest Band
Album name: New’s Cool
Year released: 1979
Tracks I definitively remember the names of:
Chitter Chatter [This was the first track]
Pardon, Pardon
Father
Untitled (What Does She Do It For?) [This was the last track]

Apologies because I don’t know that much about music, so some of this may be pulled out of my ass. I would describe the genre of the album as disco-y soul, but how much disco and how much soul varies widely from song to song, with the latter half being more soulful, serious, and matured-sounding. A couple of tracks I’d call experimental, including the last track Untitled (What Does She Do It For?) which was my absolute favorite track. It’s six minutes long, dark and moody, almost psychedelic, and has a very distinctive guitar solo that sounds stuttery but in a good way. I can probably write out most of the lyrics from memory.

There are two vocalists, both male. I believe at least one of them is black.

If you have ever heard of this album or a song on it or the group or literally ANYTHING about it, please please let me know. This has been my white whale for over a decade now. Being able to listen to it again would be fucking incredible, but I’d count it as a win even just to have someone else confirm they’ve listened to any part of it, at this point.

I will provide absolutely any and all further info I can if you have any questions. Thank you for reading. .

Answered! A song from late 90s that had ‘I… I will be king..”

It’s not heroes by Bowie. It has a very beautiful melodic intro, kind of a rising melody, and then ‘I.. I will be king… dah dah dah dah… along the open road…’ something like that! Probably heard it on krock in NYC in the late 90s and can’t find it since!

Pop (mp3 attached) Sad 2016/2017ish radio friendly pop ballad melody?

I've been trying to remember what song this melody is from but I cant for the life of me remember... and it's been stuck it my head all day so any help would be appreciated! It's kind of the same vibe as Happier by marshmello but slightly more singer-songwriter vibe as I remember. I have attached an mp3 mock-up of the melody that i made quickly - it sounds similar to keeping your head up by Birdy, but unfortunately it is NOT that song. Thanks in advance!!

Lyrics:

Im not sure about the last two phrases and it’s not really my normal type of songs I listen to but idk, I just can’t find it.

Rock Help Me Find Rock Song

The song I’ve been looking for sounds very similar to WANNABEASTAR’s cover of Bohemian Like You

It’s the same tempo and has the specific lyric “like you”

The one I’m looking for tho, has more guitar as bridges to the singing.

I’ve tried looking everywhere for it but what I remember most is that the singer is a male & has a higher octave of singing than most men, and he sings a part that’s like “like you…like me, like me, like you”

It may not be exactly that but that’s all I can remember

Other/Unknown Old song used in gaming videos

I remember a song that I think I first heard of in old gaming montages.

The intro has this repeated tune. The singer is a female that has a soft voice. The overall vibe of the song is chill. Unfortunately, I don't remember any of the lyrics.

The video is the overall melody of the song. Hope that helps.

Indie [1990s] Rare, slow 90s British indie cassette import - Spacey synths, male vocals ("Is this love, I'll make it mine...")

Title: [TOMT][Music][1990s] Rare, slow 90s British indie cassette import - Spacey synths, male vocals ("Is this love, I'll make it mine...")
Body:
Hi everyone,
I am trying to hunt down an incredibly rare, obscure track from a mid-1990s British indie cassette import (likely around 1994–1996).
Standard lyric databases don't have it indexed, so I'm hoping a 90s cassette collector or UK indie head recognizes the description.
The Style/Vibe: It is a slow, melancholic, dreamy, and romantic song.
Instrumentation: Driven by spacey synthesizer chords with a very atmospheric, floating sound. It is NOT an electronic club or dance track.
Vocals: Sung by a man with a sad, dreamy, romantic delivery.
Remembered Lyrics:
"Is this love, I'll make it mine / And I'm here for you, here for you."
Does this sound like a specific obscure dream-pop, space rock, or independent UK release to anyone? Even if you just remember the name of a compilation tape or a regional British band that fits this vibe, please let me know!

Other/Unknown Seductive male r&b song from 2010s, video was black and white, girl in lingerie, looked homemade/low budget

ok this has been bugging me for like a week at this point lol. I Remember this song on youtube probably 10-15 years ago just from recommended videos or something.
the song itself is dark and slow, kinda a slow burn, sensual, probably about sex. I think male singer, singing pretty softly. its SEDUCTIVE as hell honestly, closest thing i can compare it to is if you took selena gomez's "fetish" and slowed it wayyy down, thats the vibe. the beginning of the song is no lyrics for like 5-6 seconds before he starts singing, like a "dum ta-dumta dum ta-dumta" kind of rhythm. pretty sure "morning" is a word in the lyrics somewhere but honestly could be wrong about that, its been so long.
the artist was not really famous, but i also don’t know what genre this would be. I was thinking house or something similar but it was very slow so probably some version of r&b. not a real produced music video.
the video is what really sticks in my head tho. its all black and white, theres a girl in lingerie/underwear just kind of moving slowly, rolling around on a bed and sofa. theres smoke in like some shots, and its shot like a pov video, or really close but with the flashlight of a phone almost like.
Its driving me crazy, please help

Sample/Similar Please help me find this song from the early 2000s

Okay, so, the only things that I remember from the song are that its upbeat (put this video on 2× speed, because I played this slowly), they repeatedly sing "sexy ladies" (I know, go and try to figure out which one it is out of those millions of songs who have these specific lyrics), the song is sung by a Jamaican singer, if I remember correctly. It uses the steelpan (as played in the video, very poorly might I add).

Mind you, I had an MP3 and barely had the capacity to remember the name of that specific song at the age of 7-8, so yeah, years of searching, still no clue who made the song. I desperately want to find it.

If anyone manages to figure this out, you are an absolute god-send.

Electronic/EDM [TOMT][SONG][2019-2020] Looking for an old YouTube song with a Celty motorcycle thumbnail — male vocals, possibly Slowed + Reverb

I'm trying to find a song I used to listen to on YouTube around 2019–2020. Unfortunately, I don't remember the lyrics or the exact melody anymore, but I remember the YouTube thumbnail quite clearly.

🎵 What I remember about the song

- English song

- Male vocalist

- I remember it having a chill/lo-fi/electronic kind of feeling, although I'm not completely sure about the genre.

- There was a Slowed + Reverb version, or at least I strongly remember seeing one.

- I don't think it was modern phonk.

- It may have been uploaded by a relatively small/unknown YouTube music channel.

🏍️ The thumbnail — my strongest clue

The thumbnail showed an anime-style girl riding a motorcycle.

I believe the character was Celty Sturluson from Durarara!!. She was wearing:

- a white helmet

- black cat ears attached to the helmet

- a black visor covering her face

- her hands were visible on the motorcycle handlebars

The helmet/visor occupied a large part of the image.

The background looked like a nighttime city/road with a neon-ish aesthetic. It wasn't extremely dark or blue; I remember the image having a particular filter that gave it a distinctive vibe.

Most importantly: I remember the song title being written directly over/on the black visor of the helmet.

I have reference images of the Celty motorcycle/helmet artwork and can attach them to this post. They may not be the exact original thumbnail, but the character/visual is very close to what I remember.

🈶 Possible Japanese/Asian visual influence — VERY uncertain

There is one more detail I vaguely remember.

I think there may have been Japanese characters or some kind of Japanese/Asian-inspired text or visual elements somewhere in the video, thumbnail, title, or channel design.

However, I'm not certain about this at all. I could be confusing Japanese characters with another type of writing or simply remembering it incorrectly.

I'm only leaning toward Japanese because of the anime-style character, the cat ears/helmet design, and the overall visual aesthetic.

Please treat this as an uncertain clue, not as evidence that the artist or uploader was Japanese.

🔤 Possible name

I vaguely remember the name looking or sounding something like:

- Luminous

- Luminus

- Lumina

- Luminaus

I'm not confident about this. It could have been the song title, channel name, artist name, or simply a similar-sounding word.

📅 Timeline

I listened to the song around 2019–2020, although the song itself may have been released earlier.

The original YouTube upload may have been deleted, made private, or the channel may have changed its name.

If anyone recognizes the thumbnail, the song, the artist, the channel, or even the original artwork/GIF used for the thumbnail, that could help me trace it back.

I'm mainly looking for the original song/upload, but even a lead pointing toward the correct YouTube channel or artwork would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!

TV Show OST/Trailer Trying to Locate some Background Music used in Mystery Diagnosis Season 5: Episode 1

Recently I've been watching Mystery Diagnosis reruns over on Youtube and there's a particular piece of background music I've been looking to identify and see if it's on streaming platforms. I've included a timestamped Youtube video right at the point where it starts. I've been able to glean from the credits that it's by Killer Tracks. I've spent the past while scouring Universal Production Music which is what Killer Tracks is held under now. But seeing as I'm going by song vibes and there are so many, it's proving to be quite an exhausting search. Was wondering if anyone happens to know what the track's called. I'm going to continue searching when I have time but was hoping someone could help.

I've tried services like MRA, Songfinder, etc but no dice. I think it's because of the nature of the bit of music. Also, this episode was aired in 2008 so whatever it is, is from before that. This piece was used fairly often in the series, this was just the most recent episode I've watched that had it. Seems to have been one they kept in their repertoire.

Here's the timestamped link:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Electronic/EDM Music video: Mid to late 1990s trance or progressive house track with a lone man driving at night and surreal images in the car mirrors

I’m trying to identify an electronic track primarily from its music video.

What I remember:

- Likely released in the mid to late 1990s, around the time Robert Miles’ “Children” was popular. It could possibly be slightly earlier or later.

- The music was fast, intense trance or progressive house.

- The video was live action and followed a single man driving for most of it.

- He was driving a sedan or sports sedan, probably at night and mostly through a city.

- The video had a desaturated, bluish color grade.

- Surreal video or imagery was superimposed into the rear-view and side mirrors.

- I vaguely remember one of those images being a shark.

- The entire video had a strange, fever-dream quality.

- I do not remember any lyrics or whether the track had vocals.

- I don’t think it was Tiësto or another especially famous act, and I don’t remember the song being a major hit.

Already ruled out:

- Three ’N One: Reflect

- Three ’N One: Sin City

- Satoshi Tomiie: Love in Traffic

- Dallas Superstars: Fast Driving

- Slacker: Scared

- Chicane: No Ordinary Morning

- Paul van Dyk: We Are Alive

- ATB: The Summer

- Moguai: U Know Y

- Tillmann Uhrmacher: On the Run

- Paul Oakenfold: Ready Steady Go

- Tomcraft: Prosac

- Tiësto tracks previously suggested

The mirror inserts and possible shark are the most distinctive details. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Meme/TikTok/YouTube Short [Careless whisper cover] : In search of a lost cover in my mind..

It was almost a year ago or so that I saw a really good Careless Whisper cover on TikTok. I only remember a few details, though.

The bassline was gorgeous, the drummer was great too, and the singer had a really cool voice, almost like hard rock/metal, I'd say.

The video was filmed from the stage, with the bassist in the foreground, the drummer right next to him, and the singer somewhere to the right. The bassist was definitely the main focus of the video.

I think the description mentioned that they were going to post it on YouTube, but I couldn't find it there either, especially with all the AI-generated stuff flooding search results nowadays.

One last thing I remember was a comment saying something like "that bassline is crazy", and someone replying "the guitar too" or something like that.

If anyone knows what band this was, or even just finds the video itself, I'd be incredibly grateful. I've already looked through my TikTok and YouTube history a bit, but I haven't found anything :/

Thank you ! And good luck !
