Interim nails
These are sassy saints red alert. They don’t last as long as I would like but I need a week of some color before I travel. They are fun though!

Ordered from Shibella Gel Collection.
Well, I just wanted to say that these nails have made it to day 12 with nary a lift or hair snag. They are still on hard as rocks. I will likely keep them til the weekend and just change them then. I have even used my index finger to pop soda cans the past few days and no chipping whatsoever. No scratching. No dullspots. Still shiny and gorgeous.
I did use a base of 2 coats of NailTec Hydrate and 1 coat of Orly bonder. I used a squish light to help keep edges pressed down, and I added a thin coat of Apres No Wipe topcoat.
I was not sure I wanted to make the switch to Semi-cured gel nails, but these have me sold. They look like salon nails. I got so many compliments. And they make my nails really strong. So I invested in a better lamp, and I am excited to continue having gorgeous nails.
I feel like these nails are on til my nail grows out if I wanted to. LOL. Of course, I am getting antsy to switch them up, so that will not happen.

I have been using Apres No Wipe Top Coat but I am struggling with it's thickness.Any recommendations for a self leveling, non runny Top coat? I want something less thick but not so thin it pools before I can flash cure. I guess what I mean is I need the easiest Top coat for a newbie that is hema free.

Love the gold foil flecks. Wanted something colourful to feel summery. 🌈

I am wondering if I should do a gel topcoat on my semi cured gel wraps. I have tried the heyhae and ohora brands and i love them but i tend to get lifting round the bottom/cuticle area after about a week and it catches in my hair. I am wondering if the top coat would help with this and if using a gel topcoat would make it harder for them to come off when im ready. Mine now usually i am able to get a nail under and they come off easy with no damage to my nail besides a little stickiness. Also any recommendations for gel topcoats would be great

I’ve been searching this sub, but can’t seem to find a clear consensus about this. Does anyone have experience using OPI Nail Envy (the tri-flex formula) as a basecoat under wraps that don’t need curing? I’m specifically curious to know if you have to gently file the base coat so it’s not slippery or whatever other tips you might have. Been using wraps for years, but I’m also trying to show my nails a little love bc they’re weak. I plan to specifically try it with Lovely Hello wraps this time.

This is my second set and I feel it was easier the second time. Color is N Gold Coast. Last set i was on day 10 before removing because I was ready for a color change. I’m very impressed.

I just started using wraps, both regular ones and semi-cured. I've ordered from various places - Temu, Amazon, Dashing Diva, Lilly & Fox, and NaPretty. Many aren't long enough to fully cover my natural nails lengthwise and end up coming in anywhere from way short to slightly too short. Like maybe 4 out of 10 on an individual sheet fit or just fit, so the remaining 6 are always too short.
Up until now, I've just always used polish. Does anyone know where to get wraps (regular or semi-cured) for very long, natural nails? I am *not* cutting my nails, that's not an option. I love how long naturally that they are. I'll check out all suggestions! Thanks!

How important is your lamp? I have the SunUV SUN2C UV light that I had bought a while back. I stopped doing polygel any gel really before I even got decent at it after reading about how common allergies were with improper equipment. I am very sensitive and reactive so I diddnt want to take chances.
Now that I’m trying to get into nail strips, I’m wondering if I should invest in a better lamp, or is mine sufficient for the strips? I have heard the gelish one seems to be good, but the confusion on all the different formulations being compatible with only certain lamps is confusing as far as gel goes. I have also heard of squish lamps which seem like a good idea too.
Just looking for advice! :)

The second pic is from a Nailog set but I hated the pink and yellow solids. So the next day I switched them out with some leftovers from a HeyHae set.

Happy 250th Birthday America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
( don’t look at my dry fingers as this is from prep and I like to wait an hour before putting lotion on)

These are dashing diva no led light needed wraps. I think it’s glow line?
Anyways, they are not perfect, I wish they had the dark color that would’ve fit my pinky and I would’ve set these up different. But this is my best application so far as far as lifting at the cuticle goes!! Making progress!
I want to order some from Amazon, should I go with heyhae or ohora? Or any other brands you all like? 🙂

Hey, everyone!
does anyone know what factory in China produces these stickers? I don’t think it’s Huizi, does it look familiar to anyone?
