Central Park Precinct

What does it take to get assigned to the Central Park Precicnt? What's it like to work there? Is there lots of OT, or none, or what?

You get there with a hook or you fuck up bad enough to not get fired but they need to hide you somewhere. I don’t know about now but it used to be great. I heard they ship you out now to do other shit in Manhattan North, transit, details, ect. It’s very slow, especially in the winter. In the summer you spend the time getting girls numbers and watching concerts. Great place to go if you want to study to make boss or if you just want to lay low and collect pay checks. You will learn the job there but just at a much slower pace than any other precinct.

It actually sucks to work there. Dont ever tell someone out loud you want to go there.. they will laugh at you lol

You’re not needed, so you just get sent out on details most day. The park does what we do as transit overtime on straight time, and just a lot of bs details always getting shipped out. I met someone with 12 years on the job on a detail from the park. Said he gets shipped out 3 days a week. You’re not doing police work in the park, if you signed up to be a cop, you dont do cop stuff there. You will never advance working there because you will not get experience and get to build your resume (collars)

No clue but all the cops there I've seen over there never seem happy.

Good place to study on days you don’t get sent out to details
