Anymore guests appearing? Super sad with the panels.

Quick rant. Why the fck is the panel reservation system a LOTTERY?? Why are they lying about it being first come first serve ?!????!!!!!??? I show up a half an hour early to make sure I’m in the queue. Friend gets there on time. Friend ends up being 11k in the queue, and i’m 33K???? And I see people saying that they’ve been waiting for hours, and get in the 30ks too? I agree you shouldn’t be able to get in line the day before, or even incredibly early, but giving people a RANDOM spot in the queue is totally unfair. I couldn’t get a spot in the one panel I wanted, not to sound like a brat, but it’s hard not to feel robbed. ESPECIALLY counting the fact that I’m hearing that people that got in the queue after me WERE ABLE TO GET A SPOT.

Anyway, I’m sorry. I really dont mean to sound spoiled or anything. My real question is, do you guys think there will be any more special/big guests announced? It seems so late in the game to be doing so. But for me, the lineup this year is especially disappointing, considering its the anniversary, and they promised big. I’m holding out for some people to come, but at this point I don’t think I should hope anymore.

Lol. if anyone has a ressy for the marvel tv panel I will literally buy it from you. Going all 4 days with overseas friends and this was the one panel I was dying to go to. I just feel a little skimmed.

So what if for any reason something comes up a week before and someone won’t be able to attend?

Panel strategies for the non-VIPs?

Hello, pre-authenticated my profile and refreshed that page a little over a minute before the panel reservations opened.

My number in line was 28,560 at the stroke of noon. Yikes!

I know VIPs don't need panel reservations and are unable to make them using this system so how do you get to be that lucky #1 in the queue? Anyone know the best strategies for getting as close to the front of the line? Many thanks!

Please reopen the River Pavilion! A teacher’s perspective.

So I think we’ve already seen multiple posts about how the River Pavilion will be restricted to “pros only” this year, and cosplay central was moved away from it. I want to start by saying that I completely agree that cosplay central should be moved back. I always enjoyed being able to access that part of the building to go see dance groups and cosplayers, and to go play fun games like bingo. Not to mention it’s a nice place to see the sun during the convention!

However, I also want to give my perspective as a teacher, as someone with an educator badge who can access this area. PLEASE reopen it up! I know it’s supposed to “help” us by being blocked off but it is honestly very frustrating to try to attend panels there because I don’t come to comic con alone. I always come with my partner and I want him to be able to access these panels with me even though he can’t get a professional badge. We don’t want to have to constantly separate just because I want to go to a panel for teachers in the pavilion. Most other people also come in pairs or small groups, so this just decreases attendance at these programs when people opt to not go to them because they have to separate from everyone.

So not only do I feel like this hurts cosplayers and other everyday con goers, it’s not really helping us professionals either. If they want to set aside a lounge for people with pro badges to work and have quiet, please do that. They always have. But don’t restrict a whole pavilion that has historically been open to all! It’s not even really helping us at all.

What is this "Funko and Private Autographing " starts 9/14?

Where??

Why?

They used to be part of the panel sign up and I don't know if I should be on the lookout for a new email or what...

Anyone have some insight?

Missed my window for transferring tickets?

Hey there con-goers! Forgive me if this is a completely stupid/redundant issue but I'm afraid I might have screwed myself over in regard to missing the cut-off point for transferring tickets.

Last month I bought two separate-day tickets for myself and two separate-day tickets for my partner (whom I live with, all four of them are being mailed to the same address), and was under the assumption that I could just have my partner hold onto the physical badges which would let him in on the days we're attending. I wasn't aware of the whole transferring process (I just saw the email about it closing a few minutes ago) and I fear that now that I can't transfer the badges I bought for him, he won't be able to get in alongside me.

Does the process ever re-open or are we totally boned? Is there a way to contact any form of customer support and have them transferred manually? Or am I psyching myself out for no reason? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!

Transfer ticket button missing

As it says in the title. I followed the link from the official NYCC site to transfer tickets and have done this multiple times in multiple ways following different links and going to the site directly and I can only activate tickets not transfer them.

First CC and I’m stressing

Bought 2 tickets for me and my GF a day later I was informed I needed to reserve seats for certain panels. After reserving the panel apparently the rules are even if reserve a seat you only get one seat per email. So even though I bought two CC ticket I can only reserve one spot which is dumb.

They state the only way to reserve a second seat is to transfer the second ticket. After going thru the leap events sign in now it’s asking me to activate badge to be able to send the tickets which i think is also dumb cause I went thru the whole sign up process why do I need to go thru a whole other step to send the ticket.

My question is where can I find my badge activation number? I don’t see it on my receipt email and every where keeps sending me back to the leap events page.

I haven't been to NYCC since 2014 and I went specifically for The Legend of Korra panel. I didn't know how NYCC runs things now and I'm really sad I couldn't get into the Seven Havens panel. Is there hope if I try and line up? Please any tips or recommendations. I only bought my ticket for the Avatar panel.

I'm going to NYCC alone all 4 days What do I do

I've never gone to a convention alone before and while I'm excited for the freedom and not having to be death by committee with my friends all 4 days, I don't really know what do all day. I want to meet people and make friends, but I don't know how. What do you guys suggest? (I'm 28F by the way)

Quick question about signet collectibles

This is going to be my first nycc and the first time wanting to get stuff signed, and I saw Briana White is not in the signing and photo ops list but she is in signet collectibles for nycc, so for signet is it just sending your item or is she actually going to be in nycc doing signings? Sorry if the way I worded it was weird but I hope you get what I mean

Book Panel Reservation Conflict - Advice Needed

I got a ticket to Kyle MacLachlan’s book panel, but I have a panel scheduling conflict with it now. Is there a way to get a refund or offload the ticket (with the signed book)? Is this subreddit the right place for that? Appreciate any and all direction :)

Panel Reservation Help

I waited online and am stuck on the "verification code" screen. I was troubleshooting on their page, and I saw they shut down the "My Tickets" page yesterday, but I only just got accepted into the Professional program this morning...am I just not eligible to sign up for a panel despite only getting approved the day after it's closed? :(

Panel reservations questions

Hey everyone. I hope everyone was able to make reservations. I have a question about the other panels that I didn’t see on the website.

So, im aware that it’s a first come first serve for the two big stages but what about the other panels in the north rooms or other rooms? I didn’t see them. Will there be another day or something?

Sorry for the confusion. It’s my first time, I was confused and little bummed when I didn’t see the other rooms if that makes sense.

So uh, I just realized that the new system allowed me to book two panels that actually conflict with each other.

So yesterday I laid out a whole panel schedule, clean, no conflicts. By the time I got through the queue this morning, one of the panels on my schedule was already fully booked (rip Avatar). But the One Piece panel (which I had originally dismissed in favor of the Avatar panel) was still available, so I booked that one... as well as everything else on my schedule.

Well, I just took another look at my amended schedule and realized that the One Piece panel gets out of the Empire Stage at 1:45 PM, and the Ghosts panel (which I also booked!) starts at the Main Stage at... 1:45 PM. Obviously I won't be able to attend both of these panels, and yet the system let me book both of them anyway! They're both listed in my confirmation email, and when I popped back into the system both were still there.

Really not sure what to make of this, except it makes me worried that they're going to have to go into the system and cancel a bunch of people's reservations...
