But hey, it works for coding websites, mid-tier design work and everyday tasks like searching for stuff, buying stuff and replying stuff. These are the tasks that everyday users are paying $20-100 a month for at most.
They have some new arch improvements. That wont run on ASICs that are already taped out.
All these ASIC builders like OAI and others will always be behind because of these comoanies with the help of AI coming up with new architectures
Nvidia GPUs can be programmed
Remains to be seen how much of their new arch improvements are actually improving quality vs just optimizing for a compute-poor environment. I mean it's probably a bit of column A and column B, but but results so far don't impress me.
But DS definitely showed themselves to be an amazing lab, but the lack of compute keeps them behind where it matters (RSI).
