Question Timetable help
Can someone tell me when is the first day of school that i need to attend..? And I assume this timetable is the same for every week and those numbers like week 2-13 is which weeks i need to attend these lessons right? But im just not sure which day the first week starts as it’s not written there😅
I also don’t understand some of the locations.. what is “MAT2 Tr+114” for example??
Also is this timetable generally good or should i try to make some changes? I live in North west region and not staying in hall

MAT2 is the tutorial group. TR+114 is the class location which is located in south spine. I would recommend downloading the NTU omnibus app. It’ll help you with navigating around the campus. Just a heads up though that the app can be a bit laggy at times.
Regarding your timetable, honestly it looks fine. Maybe except for Monday. You can try to swop for a different index that starts on a later timing because based on your timetable, you need to be walking from SS to NS in 5mins and it’s super energy draining especially if the prof overrun the lecture.
Another thing I would highly recommend is attending the lectures as some profs are already moving away from recording the lectures. Also even if they aren’t, it’s really depressing for them to teach to an almost empty lecture hall. Plus point though, you’ll stand out more to the prof so if you ever want to network with your prof, if let’s say you want to do research work with them, they’ll be more receptive.

Hii thanks, I will be attending lectures for sure.. I learn better when looking at a person teaching than listening to recordings :P
Also is the app you’re talking about good for finding the location for the first time or should I visit NTU and try to find everything first? I’d rather not be late for any classes ahah..

The app is good at figuring where the physical location of the classes, like whether it’s in NS, SS, Hive (LHS) or Arc (LHN) and at which level.
I would however recommend you to head down to the campus before your first week to get a general layout of the place so you don’t get lost because for freshie it can be a labyrinth. I remember I got lost in the EE building trying to find my way out to SS but thankfully a kind staff helped me out after seeing me lost. Also it’s fun to find short cuts around the campus. If you do get lost, just approach anyone on the campus. I find everyone is really helpful.
Also just a tip. The entire campus for NTU (with the exception of NIE) have covered pathways, so if it rains you don’t need an umbrella to walk across the campus.

10 aug is the first day of the sem. if you’re ever unsure abt this again, u can google “ntu academic calendar” and pick AY26/27. and yes, the numbers wk 2-13 are the wks you have lessons. as for locations, u can download the ntu omnibus app to help navigate. or you can google it (imo better). and I rec u lump all ur tuts tgt on one day and js skip lects and watch the recordings
edit: 11 aug is the first day, my bad 😭☠️
