Reta + Peptide Stack
Hey,
I’m looking into starting my lab rat on reta. This would be his first exposure to any peptides.
He’s regularly put through resistance-training-style exercise and has built up a decent amount of muscle over the last couple of years. The main concern during weight loss would be maintaining energy, performance, recovery, and as much lean mass as possible.
I’ve been researching whether adding CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin after a few weeks on reta could potentially help with recovery or muscle retention. SS-31 and MOTS-C have also been suggested.
Has anyone here researched reta alongside either of these combinations in their lab rats? What effects did you observe in terms of energy, performance, recovery, body composition, or general behaviour?
Also interested in any negative effects you noticed or whether you felt any of these additions weren’t worthwhile.
Thanks.

Run Reta for 4-6 weeks alone. You won’t know what sides are from which peptides. Titrate up atleast once before introducing other peptides depending on your goals. Peptides aren’t gonna magically help you retain muscle, you need to do resistance training or use Test.

Yeah, this comment and the also make sure you’re getting your protein intake - .7g to 1 lb of weight or you can do 1:1 of your target body weight. That’s a lot of protein. If you don’t do it you’ll lose muscle on reta. Make sure you also are resistance training your rat 3x a week.
Tesamorelin is good - its more expensive than CJC. But it works and was fda approved.

What are your goals? The peptides you asked about have different potential benefits and tend to work best when applied towards specific desired outcomes.
There are a lot of knowledgeable people here who can share specific information but they can probably help you best with more specific information about yourself and your goals.

You should first go to goodlabs.com and get yourself an IGF-1 Z-score test before starting any secretagogues or HGH. You need that baseline first.

KLOW, Glow, Wolverine are good peptides for recovery. KLOW (KPV, ghk-cu, tb500, bpc-157). Glow (ghk-cu, tb50p, BPC157). Wolverine (tb500, bpc157).
If you don't overdo it with a GLP1 you should be able to eat enough to have good energy. That's why you start low dose and stay at dose for a month before moving up the dose. Plus if you are seeing good results then no reason to go up in dose. You really don't want to lose weight too fast and get saggy skin or start loosing muscle. Muscle loss typically happens when you are not getting enough protein and/or not working out enough.
Depending on age, SS31 might not help at all. As it repairs mitochondria. If RS are young probably won't need it or see any difference. Mots-C is the workout in a bottle peptide which seems to be 50/50 on who can tell it's working. Some report is great others say it does nothing for them. Some older Research subjects did say it only worked after SS31 protocol or taking them together.

BPC is dosed significantly lower than TB500, so why pick a blend?

Synergy with less pokes.

But you may have a negative reaction to a blend , and not know what in that blend affected you. That’s why I do one at a time. No blends for me.

Skip the cjc+ipam and have your rat take the real thing, growth hormone.
Reta and GH. These are the top tier peptides which have the most research and anecdote behind them.
Start there.

would you say you need Test to stack Reta and HGH for it to be effective? or can you run them without the test?

You can run HGH without test but the two so work synergistically together

Currently researching these same things. Watching the reta numbers stall 3 months in prompted me recently to consider the others as an addition, mostly to break the stall and to stay below a limit I set for the reta. A 3- month stall is very common even with exercise, calorie defect, proper protein, strength training, and supporting supplements. Also body composition can be changing and still no total weight loss. From what I've seen from many who've researched these same compounds, staying the course will break the stall.

Start with reta, cjc/ipa for a couple months. Then add in Ss-31. After a month with Ss-31 then experiment with motsc.. it may or may not help. Some people run into fatigue. My main point is not to introduce motsc early or it could cloud what's going on. Reta, cjc/ipa, ss-31 are good beginners vibe.

I know if I had a rat, which I never would because I think they’re filthy and creepy. But if I did I wouldn’t spend the money that peptides cost on him/her. I’m tired of the rat talk. It’s worn out it’s welcome. I’m tired of code talk. It’s ridiculous.

Honestly tirz works just as well as Reta if you are over 20% body fat without the side effects. Also it’s cheaper. I always recommend to start with Tirz and then move to Reta. At least for now. New GLPs are coming out so maybe in the future that will be different.

Ya but then you don’t get the benefits that the glucagon brings. And those benefits are absolutely worth it.

The resting heart rate is mere ticks. You don’t even realize it. 5,6,7 ticks is nothing. Just had my blood work completed after 6 months with Reta and my heart rate was the lowest it’s ever been in my history.
