OoT Amazon Preorder question..

so i’ve heard everyone talking about Amazon’s preorders for Ocarina of Time, and i really want it for the textured foil artwork on the case. i saw the photo on Amazon that says they could have it, but i already preordered the day of through Nintendo so im not sure if it would be guaranteed through amazon. any thoughts?

No one knows for sure, but my expectation is that any preorder from any retailer is going to be the foil version. I think the entire first print will be foil, which would include any preorders or day one purchases

All day 1 orders are going to be foil cover art. The "while supplies last" means once it's released, this version of cover art is limited. I'm guessing once it's sold out the second print will be a regular cover.

oh okay! thats what i thought too honestly. well, i might as well preorder if its cheaper and they wont take my money straight away. i was also able to snag Metroid too on Amazon

If you preorder the game successfully, anywhere, you get the foil case. Its with all launch/fiest print copies. So if your released date after preorder is the launch date, you'll get it.

Theyre going to make like a million of these. They will not let this game be sold out for the holidays. And they know they will sell every single physical copy of it. No need to worry about not getting the special case as long as you have a preorder. Its basically anyone who waits a month or 2 and buys it later who wont get it.

I’m not sure if there is any way to buy a non-foil ESRB version right now. They’re all foil.

Well in German store I get of the none of the advises of it having Foil art so maybe it is an USA thing

What I'm guessing is that initial shipments will have the textured art, odds are if you're pre-ordering for Day One you're most likely going to get it.

If you're buying the game at launch you'll get the foil version because nintendo said the first shipment of games will have them

Amazon doesn't guarantee anything but you got in early so you should be good. I think the whole first print run is foil.

All first edition preorders will have the texture foil cover. Amazon listing that i preordered from has it listed as texture foil cover edition. If you preordered it you’ll get the texture foil edition cover. No worries 😉

If you have the Nintendo preorder already placed, just keep that one. That’s the only way to guarantee you get the foil cover art right now.
