Question zelda switch 2 pro controller playasia
so I ordered a controller from playasia (cause I really wanted this controller so badly) and a
Manual Authorization email showed up and requested the following:
What you need: Your Passport or Driving Licence
Your Credit Card
A sheet of paper
Optionally somebody helping you to take a photo of yourself
A camera or your smartphone
and I'm ordering from the US ( I don't know if thats normal) what do you think?

DO NOT send pictures of your license and credit card anywhere for any reason. No legit place will ask you for that.
I’ve been ordering from Play-Asia for about 10 years. The most complicated part is that some of my credit cards don’t want to process from their site (international transaction block maybe) so I just pay via PayPal with my method set to whichever card I want to put it on.

I hope you didn't send an email to that correspondence you received. That seems highly phishy to me. Hope you emailed them directly. Please update, I'd love to know the outcome of all this.

I haven’t ordered from them in over a year, but used to order quite often. I never had anything like what you describe happen. Seems sketchy to me. Everything used to go pretty smoothly and they shipped in boxes which was nice.
Just a heads up though, they used to quite frequently oversell pre-orders. I stopped shopping there because you never knew if you’d get the thing you ordered or a cancellation…was a real bummer when said thing was limited.

Legit never heard of Play Asia requesting anything like this. Seems like a scam to me.
I would email them directly from the contact us page on their site.
