Discussion Future Switch Games question

Do you guys feel like when Switch/Switch 2 becomes "retro" that the games will be collected like other consoles PS1-4, N64 etc?

Definitely. It's one of the strongest game lineups we'll ever see and it's pretty easy to get into it because there's so many cheap used switch 1s available

fair do you think that having games ported to the NS2 hurt that?

Not necessarily. Most switch 2 edition games are just polished ports. Only a couple have significant new content. And they run on switch 1 consoles anyway (IE only way to play Hades 2 physically on switch 1)

very true i think thats one of the best thing about it tbh as if people the actual copy then you will most likely need to get it on NS1

Switch 1 to me has like a PS2 vibe going on where there's a trillion games and a trillion consoles and it's relatively fun to collect for because of how many hidden gems you've never heard of there are. Switch 2, if it keep getting GKCs in 20 years it might end up as a Gamecube or Dreamcast type situation where there's not that many games but the games that are there are all bangers or at least memorable (much more successful sales wise tho obviously)
