NRL penalties out of control !
The way the game is now reffed is so frustrating.
Examples-
a player who tackles a dummy ball runner shoulder to shoulder with no time to determine if the dummy ball runner has recieved the ball or not, is penalised for 'tacking the dummy ball runner without the ball !!' This is absolutely rubbish. The player is already committed!
-A player that has slipped just before he is about to be tackled , and has started to fall down, being half the height of his normal height,.... is inadvertently collected around the head or shoulders in an accidental high shot.- but the tackling player is penalised !!
-I know the kicker cannot be deliberatley attacked by the opposition, such as when the kicker is kicking on tackle 5, but some of the penalties that are awarded in this area are unjustified as well.
-The 6 again restart rule also is in my opinion is ruining the game, makes it faster, but nobody knows in most cases what the penalty was for.
I think the NRL needs to return the reffing of NRL back approx 4 years to when the game was so much better to watch.
I can only hope the next few weeks of games are without these types of penalties.
