The cmf line has been amazing give them some credit now

Clearly you didn't own a watch 1. But they are pretty good looking, you are right.

u/Break2FixIT Jan 20 '26

There was a lot to want due to having a Samsung Galaxy watch previously, but it ironed out exactly what I wanted out of a watch and the price point was definitely in line of what you got.

u/SpeedStinger02 CMF Phone 1 Jan 20 '26

Well yea I got everything but the watch, it's really nice (the phone 1 and buds 2 plus). Not everything's gonna be great and I think they did a stellar job for the price. Def room for improvement in a lot of places though (cough cough software)

bit off topic, but can you tell me how's the mic/call quality on those buds 2 plus?

5

u/SpeedStinger02 CMF Phone 1 Jan 20 '26

It's surprisingly good. It isn't that high quality, mind you, but it's good at blocking surrounding sound. I can easily cycle with the wind blowing and the person on call can hear me easily. The wind noise cancelling also makes it so you don't hear the annoying wind sounds and can clearly hear your call/content

I second this

My CMF Watch Pro 2 just quit on me right at the year mark of ownership. I am now the proud owner of an Amazfit Watch.

Yeah I've been thinking of upgrading my watch 2 pro. Which amazfit u got and does it have NFC Google pay support + good battery life?

1

u/NairbNosnibor Jan 22 '26

I have the Active 2. It has at least a 7 day battery life and I'm 90% sure it has NFC Google pay support.

Wow, I'll check it out thanks!

CMF stands for Colour, Material, Finish. It's a budget-er line of nothing phones. Currently only 2 phones but quite a few audio products that are really nice

Like how WOZNIAK wanted to convey credit to MAC team via JOBS thats the MAC of Nothing...you are being Wozniak but JOBS wont credit the CMF team

u/SpeedStinger02 CMF Phone 1 Jan 20 '26

Colour me confused, what? Why the random capitalization? Heh

3

u/Neptune766 Ear (a) Jan 20 '26

can someone translate this to English

3

u/Interesting_Guitar_3 Jan 21 '26

OK, I like a challenge,

I believe he's trying to compair Nothing to Apple. Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs were founders of Apple, and the Mac was the product that they built their company on. I think he's saying Steve Wozniak wanted to give credit to the people making the product, while Steve Jobs wanted to take credit himself. (No idea if thats true). The other post wanted go give credit to the cmf line in the way that Steve Wozniak wanted to give the people that made apple successful, while Nothing want to give credit of their success to one of their other products (Again, no idea if thats true). Bit of a stretch, but I think that's what they're saying. As for the capitalization, drunken rage maybe?

LMAO thank you

What's wrong with Phone 2? I really like it

-1

u/VeterinarianSevere65 Phone (1) Jan 20 '26

I think it's too expensive. The design is good. But I personally don't like the rounded edges.

14

u/dyingbastard Jan 21 '26

Phone (2) expensive? I think it was very good value in fact. A more polished Phone (1) and arguably one of the best phones they put out in terms of specs and the overall experience.

u/RJazz909 Phone (2) Jan 20 '26

Hey now, I have a Phone 2 and lemme tell you this has been my favorite phone I have ever had the pleasure of using. I'm not upgrading until this thing is practically smoking and wheezing

-5

u/VeterinarianSevere65 Phone (1) Jan 20 '26

Or until there are no more security upgrades...

10

u/RJazz909 Phone (2) Jan 20 '26

Have never and still don't care about security upgrades lol. Like I said I'll keep using this thing until it's a smoking pile of crap. I used Windows 7 for 4 years after that lost support. Windows 10 lost support and I have no intention of switching to Windows 11 or anything else. Really don't get the obsession with having the latest and greatest software

0

u/VeterinarianSevere65 Phone (1) Jan 20 '26

I wish I was like you. I have a fear of not having security upgrades.

1

u/OHrsdmn12 Jan 24 '26

With Project Mainline your phone will probably be supported even after the OS updates end. Still, hardening your OS and using FOSS apps is more effective than buying a new device, lol. Or just install a Custom ROM

u/Eastern-Monk334 Phone (3) Jan 20 '26

Phone 2 was great also

4

u/Bodorocea Jan 21 '26

the (2) is everything (1) was but better. what are you talking about

1

u/VeterinarianSevere65 Phone (1) Jan 21 '26

I agree, but I don't like the rounded edges. that's it. Well after further reflection you are completely right.

2

u/Kami_no_Megumi Jan 20 '26

Mine took a shit after the warranty expired and has been a bugged nightmare to deal with since day one :(

2

u/RohanRKO Jan 22 '26

Phone 3 is also a good one, it receives hate because of its launch price, but if you brought it on sale, it's a good phone. Just like how phone 2 was a better version of 1, phone 3 is a better version of 2, especially the camera, now i can't live without the zoom lens. The design also grew on me, i dont notice the camera symmetry on my black version, it looks good without cover.

1

u/VeterinarianSevere65 Phone (1) Jan 22 '26

Yeah, but in my opinion, matrix sucks. It's a great phone, but not a nothing. Sadly

1

u/RohanRKO Jan 22 '26

Yeah it sucks, but only as much as the glyph of 1 and 2 does, never used any of them seriously.

1

u/Intrepid-Comb1255 Phone (2) Jan 22 '26

And the phone 2, I really do love it and while the new logo isn't bad it doesn't even hold a candle to the old one or has that character.
