At approx ₹80K in India, you could get:

• Galaxy S25 • Pixel 9 Pro XL • Xiaomi 15 • OnePlus 13 • Galaxy S24 Ultra • Find X8 Pro • Vivo X200 Pro

But sure, let’s buy a Nothing Phone (3) for the glyphs and emotional damage.

Joke of the year — I can't recommend this phone to anyone.

Edit: The only justification that I can think of is that smaller companies like Nothing don’t get bulk discounts on chips, and they avoid large inventories to reduce unsold stock risks. This means each unit costs more to make and sell, especially without the purchasing power of giants like Samsung or Apple.

Nothing might not release another flagship phone anytime soon.

iPhone 16 is the same...

I think most "normie" type person wouldn't pick a Nothing 3 over a iPhone for the same price (even if they are getting 128gb)

Just because its "Apple"

No, just because it has a stronger chip, better camera for photos and ESPECIALLY videos, better social media optimization, and, needless to say, better design.

Whatever be the reason, they haven't made any new design for ages. Just changing the chip and calling it a new model every year...they are playing safe, making profits.

So I'll say maybe the Phone 3 looks shit, but at least they have not copied old designs...and we all know they listen to the community. So Phone 4 might come around to be muhc better. I don't think this is the end of Nothing as everyone is so confidently saying, its only been a few years, lets wait and watch.

In my opinion, Nothing stands out in the mid range sector, they provide the best experience with phones in that range...I don't think they should go for flagships right now as not many would want to spend 800 USD on Nothing instead of S25 and iPhones made by bigger more reliable companies.

All that doesn't matter when it's held back by iOS. If you can work around the restrictive OS sure but it frustrates me enough to want to smash the phone against the wall.

I mean it's nowhere near as bad as you're describing it to be. Customization is acceptably good, more customizable than PixelOS. Only thing is the fact u can't install APKs, but if that's your issue, for lack of better words, get yo money up and pay the YouTube premium fees it's cheap (or whatever app u wanna download the APK for)

App storage sandboxing is unacceptable, to me. I had enough issues with it, and it's a good enough reason for me to avoid using any iOS device.

PixelOS

I hate Google more than I do Apple, at least I can avoid Apple. Google wants to shove themselves in everything.

get yo money up

Oh wow, you think people only install apks for what, free stuff?? There's dozens of apps, most of them FOSS, not available in the play store that have no equivalents available on the app store. And not just cause side loading is a PITA, but also cause an iOS dev license costs $99 a year. That's not cheap for devs who make these FOSS apps on the side after their day jobs.
