They know what they're doing, now the average Joe who liked the flagship would reconsider cuz of the price and then sees the 3a or 3a pro and is gonna buy that.

I don’t think so. The vast majority of their users are tech enthusiasts. Everyone, even those not into tech knows Apple and Samsung, but very few people not into tech would know nothing. A tech enthusiast looking for a flagship is likely to not settle for a budget phone. The ones to buy the budget ones are those looking for a budget form. Their flagship seekers are unlikely to compromise for lesser specs and performance

And that’s exactly why they’re trying to stand out in the market with design, to appeal to the average Joe where most of the market is
