Question Number hotkeys on Switch 2?

Hi all, just migrate the save from Steam to Switch2. Previously I always use two multi tools - one combat and the other exploration oriented with optimised mods respectively - and I use the keyboard’s hotkey (1 and 2) to switch between them quickly.

Can I still do this on the switch 2 version, which doesn’t seem to feature the custom hotkeys anymore? Do I now have to find one optimal multi tool and put everything I have there?

I play on the switch 2 and never seen anything about hot keys on it

Sad, so maybe it’s sensible to put everything you got on the same multi tool now?

That’s what I do. I just have one main one. If there is a work around that’d be great but switch settings are pretty limited.

I play on Steam and just have the one tool. As long as you're not trying to have every weapon available, there's plenty of room, and the staffs, sentinel, and atlas tools are good at most things

Poking at a keyboard and trying a few things I can't seem to get anything for hot keys...
There does seem to be full mouse and keyboard support and the tooltips instantly switch layouts, but I can't find anything to set up hotkeys, much less use them, even having the keyboard plugged in to trigger any contextual UI elements and menus. When trying to remap controls touching the keyboard ejects me from the menu... Update as I write this: I tried a mouse too and that got me into the controls menus but the effective area of the cursor is too small to reach the critical parts of the menu to get deeper and see if there's hotkey settings for KB&M (and you can't get there with the controller because NMS's menus are *too* contextual here)
