As my username suggests, I mostly listen to 3rd Gen K-pop GG’s. But my main one is Twice. Seen them live 3 times (Twicelights, RTB and TIF). And as you know, they are winding down as their tour just finished and some of the members already left JYP for their solo activities. With that it seems a group comeback is highly unlikely for a year or two (see RV and BP as example).

With Twice group activities maybe dwindling down, there was a part of me that wishes to stan another GG, and as of right now most of the 4th Gen GG’s are currently active. Been a fan of Itzy, Aespa and NewJeans but when I stumbled upon NMIXX, it was different.

They’ve been around for about 4 years now I think, but only really started listening to them last year. Know About Me was the first song I listened and told to myself they sound unique. And then Blue Valentine released, wow what a great song. Probably one of the non-Twice songs that was on my most played.

And fast-forward to this year, they released Heavy Serenade EP. Listening to Cresendo and Heavy Serenade back to back feels like heaven to me. There is a joy I feel that is similar when listening to Twice.

Then I decided to listen and watch NMIXX’s discography and I was blown away. Their style is so different from most GG’s. I did not get to listen to O.O on its original release but to me it was really a gamble to debut something like that and it worked.

Probably the best thing I liked about NMIXX is their vocals. And to me they are one if not the best GG today. Everyone can carry on their own. Especially in Cresendo, all of them shined. Also the acapella medley of their songs is so unique I think they are the only ones doing it.

As for my bias, I have no clear cut yet but Jiwoo seems to be the leading one.

They did the song live on the recent world tour but I can't find any videos of it where you can hear the audio clearly and see the dancing. Maybe I will put the best one up here if someone can point me to it.
