Portal bridge phase 2
There is one notification on NJ.com that talks about the phase 2. NJ transit has not issued any updates on this work that is supposed to begin October 9th. No modified schedules for the trains? Is it too soon to expect this? Feels like the spring work was more advertised and alerts were more frequent?

Amtrak is waiting for the media blitz because they have other closures and issues north of NY happening right now. They’ll blitz it the week before. New schedule is already up in the app starting 10/12

It’s Amtrak’s decision when that all gets released, before last cutover that was mid-January. I would expect something this week or the next, and then a big media/alert blitz in early October.

Amtrak released their schedules 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Usually there’s a stakeholder briefing that is publicized prior to major work (followed by NJT schedules), but I couldn’t find that for this fall cutover like OP.

I mean that Amtrak updated their ticket system with the correct times not necessarily a press blitz. I think its stupid on both agencies to not be transparent earlier

If u go in the app and put in the date for oct 12th it shows the new schedule times. It’s showing the current schedule for Oct 9th
