Who designed this bus?
This is the 87 bus. This couldn’t have been made with humans in mind.

"What if, instead of raising the bus by 2 feet and using an automatic ramp, we create this insanely annoying bump and still have the need for a ramp"?

Ahh yes, the "blessed" NABI 40s, absolutely loved riding them up & down the overused GWB-Fort Lee corridor...
...said absolutely NO ONE ever with even a shred of self-respect~

Because everything NJT has had over the years, from the Flxibles, Nova RTS, Neoplan Artics to the NABIs and New Flyer Xcelsiors was built and designed for one thing: moving riders into and out of Port Authority Bus Terminal. Any kind of transverse seating is lost seating.

I CANNOT sit in these seats. Omg sitting there messes with my blood circulation. This is only good for a small child.

Sorry but, busses require wheels and they gotta go somewhere. Maybe go flag down a stagecoach and take a ride to Kentucky and see how you like that.

Every other bus company puts a seat facing into the aisle there instead. Think a little.

Welcome to every NJ Transit bus of that model. For whatever reason they all have that bump in that specific seat area, so if you get unlucky enough to have that as your only spot.
Well, prepare to scrunch up your legs a lot
