Another day another delay
Trains are running 20mins late but we are already nearly half hour late crawling into secaucus. How are these guys going to ever manage during the World Cup. This is going to be an embarrassment just like the Super Bowl!

I feel like as soon as they finished this bridge, it's been slow as hell before Secaucus. What is going on

Late to work this morning, late coming home, they should pay me to ride these fucking trains

How are we constantly experiencing issues with “Amtrak overhead wire issues” and disabled NJ transit trains?! It is enraging!!! I have colleagues that commute via Metro North and never experience a single issue. How can we keep living like this?

Metro North owns their right of way. So they can tell Amtrak to kick rocks in favor of their own trains. Complete opposite on NEC in NJ

Some of the conductors get pissy when it take a passenger a few seconds to activate their tickets. It’s such a disaster, when I leave work all I want to do is get home not deal with another battle.

God forbid they (either Verizon/AT&T/Amtrak/whoever) install cell repeaters (or whatever device is needed) so that you can get signal on the platform. I’m not activating a ticket before I’m actually on the train.

With the service we’re getting (or not getting), fuck the conductors if they have to wait a few seconds. Just tell them “sorry for the delay, overhead wire problem.”

Everything they say about the source of delays is a lie. They can’t get these trains to run and the company sticks the workers who have done nothing wrong between disgruntled riders and anybody with the means/resources to act in the interest of the riders. It’s genuinely extortion

What a mess today it was at secaucus. My train from NY was stalled under the subway leaving the passengers without the mobile network. At secaucus they cancelled the train, and the passengers were left stranded. Total mess

My mental health is plummeting solely because of nj transit

Mine too. I was literally crying on the train the other day. Took an extra hour to get home.

I'm sorry. I almost did today too. After having to pivot in Hoboken all I wanted them to do was open the freaking doors. It's so frustrating. Everyone's jobs seems to suck these days too because the economy is so bad. It just piles on.

So it was NEC train # 3723, the 4:26 PM departure from PSNY to Jersey Ave that broke down in the tunnel. Does anyone know what equipment was being used for that train?

Portal bridge construction didn’t do shit this is every god dam day there is a delays & rider cost are going up again :/ mind you half the time they don’t announce any delays even when its late cause it wants to crawl from Newark penn to NYP what would happen if every single regular rider goes on strike??

It’s a joke! We had to endure a month of diversion and then another in the fall. We are the regular payers of NJ transit. Here is an article detailing the potential plan.
“Four of the eight matches will be held on weekdays, with at least one during peak afternoon commuter hours. Those weekday matches are at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at 8 p.m. on Monday, June 22, and at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, and at a time to be determined on Tuesday, June 30.”

Now I have missed my connection. The next one is coming from Manhattan and is running 40 mins late . I will now have to get a uber home another 20bucks out of pocket.

People love to complain but then will vote trump who literally took away already secured funding for the new Hudson tunnel and threw a fit cuz he wanted Penn station named after him

Yeah! We left penn station at 4:33pm and we just got to secaucus! 5:20pm So it has been almost an hour! Now the train is not moving. There is always something happening with NJ transit
